Wedding Impossible Episode 13 Recap

The scene begins on the day of Gun-woo’s accident, showing Sun-yeol’s father talking on the phone with his wife, who urges him to hurry as their son has been rushed to the hospital. In the meantime, Kim Joon is driving to meet Hye-geum and is observed texting while behind the wheel of his car. As a result, he fails to notice Gun-woo approaching and accidentally collides with him.

Kim Joon quickly runs outside to see what happened and becomes frantic when he sees the child, hurrying to help him. Nevertheless, he looks around and notices that nobody has seen what he has done, so he takes Gun-woo with him. Sun-yeol’s father is informed that Sun-yeol needs a transplant urgently, while Kim Joon is concerned about the impact of the accident on his career.

At that moment, he receives a phone call from Kim Joon, who urgently requests his presence as he has been involved in a car accident with a child. He quickly helps Kim Joon, who says that he cannot allow a small mistake to ruin his career. This makes Sun Yeol’s father believe that Kim Joon intends to harm the child.

The man informs Kim Joon that he is willing to take responsibility for his actions, but requests Kim Joon’s assistance for his son in exchange, which Kim Joon quickly agrees to. After Kim Joon departs, the man sets Gun-woo down, then drives over him once more before abandoning him in the spot where Soo-hyun eventually discovers him.

Soo-hyun is overcome with emotion as she listens to the audio recording that exposes everything and hears Gun-woo crying for his mother, leading her to cry uncontrollably from the depths of her heart. Seon-yul, having listened to the recording as well, is overwhelmed with shock, guilt, and pain over his father’s actions to protect him. He has come to a realization of his mother’s compassion towards Soo-hyun and the events that occurred in the past.

Upon hearing Soo-hyun’s cries of agony, he exits her home silently, tears brimming in his eyes. At the same time, Yoo-ra is concerned about Go-eun following the earlier incident. She considers telling Soo-hyun about it, but ultimately decides to respect Go-eun’s desire to keep it a secret from Soo-hyun.

Nevertheless, she is unaware of the fear that resides in Go-eun’s heart following the recent events she experienced. At the same time, Seon-yul is overwhelmed with guilt, and Soo-hyun mourns for her child throughout the night. As the pair attempt to calm their thoughts, Kim Joon cautions Su-ho that his wife could be at risk if she acts recklessly.

Su-ho is unaware that Soo-hyun has gone to the police to request reopening her son’s case, with Kim Joon being identified as the main suspect. The following day, Go-eun receives a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s at the hospital, while Seonyul visits Gun-woo’s grave and vows to protect Soo-hyun, the child.

In the afternoon, Soo-hyun is heading home with Seon-yul following closely behind her. Noticing his presence behind her, Soo-hyun instructs Seon-yul to return home, only to be informed by him that he also listened to the recording from Gun-woo’s accident day. Soo-hyun is aware of the situation and as he apologizes to her, she reassures him that it was not his fault.

Seon-yul continues to cry while Soo-hyun expresses sympathy for him and feels remorseful for her words in court during her murder trial, instead of blaming him.

The next day, Su-ho is taken aback to discover that Kim Joon and his wife are holding a press conference. As they walk towards their respective conference rooms, Kim Joon is greeted by the flash of many cameras, while Soo-hyun is greeted by silence with only a couple of reporters present. Kim Joon is promoting his campaign again while Soo-hyun is attempting to uncover the truth surrounding her son’s situation.

Meanwhile, Su-ho is at home trying to locate Gun-woo’s tablet after being told by Kim Joon that he must bring it in order to ensure Soo-hyun’s safety. Su-ho is following instructions, but there is no information about Soo-hyun’s press conference online. Soo-hyun remains composed despite being aware of the situation, but is taken by surprise to find Gun-woo’s tablet missing when she gets back home.

Su-ho encounters Kim Joon and witnesses him smashing his son’s tablet in exchange for ensuring his wife’s safety. Upon his arrival home, he finds Soo-hyun there, ready with questions. He reassures her that his only wish is for her safety. Soo-hyun is upset with him as she explains that she has no desire to reside in a nation where the leader is the one responsible for her son’s death.

She explores alternative methods to expose Kim Joon’s actions, while at the same time, Seon-yul pays a visit to Go-eun with a heart full of apology. Before attempting to leave unnoticed, Go-eun invites him inside for a meal. She advises him to let go of his pain and not hurt Soo-hyun any further, pointing out that he is the child of a murderer while she is the mother of one.

Unaware of the guilt already weighing heavy on Seon-yul’s heart, she instructs him to let go of his anger for the sake of his mother, unintentionally adding to his inner turmoil. Once he departs, she immediately loses track of what occurred and quickly heads out to a certain place. Seon-yul’s friends are attempting to gather signatures and testimonies from other individuals who have been victims of the Junseong Foundation, which is under the management of Kim Joon, at a different location.

After a lot of effort, Seon-yul finally gathers their signatures and then passes the document to Soo-hyun, expressing his trust in her decision-making. After this, Soo-hyun goes back to see her mother, only to be shocked by Go-eun’s absence. As soon as she spots Go-eun’s shoe on the side of the road, she quickly runs out in a panic, just like she did when she saw Gun-won’s.

She breathes a sigh of relief as she hurries to find her, spotting Go-eun in a playground. However, upon witnessing Go-eun’s tears shed for Gun-won, she realizes that her mother is not behaving normally. The following day, she gives Tae-ho a call and learns that her mother is suffering from Alzheimer’s.

The following day, Soo-hyun puts her plan into action to seek revenge on Kim Joon by appearing on stage not as Gun-won’s mother, but as the author Soo-hyun. This time, a global group of journalists is waiting for her to speak. In another location, Seon-yul quickly rides his bike to a specific destination, prepared to step in if Soo-hyun encounters any difficulties.

In the meantime, Soo-hyun is questioned about her upcoming project and she reveals that it will be inspired by a true event, focusing on sharing her son’s experience. She informs them that she will reveal the true culprit involved in Gun-won’s case, which captivates the audience in attendance. From here on, Soo-hyun does not hesitate to announce that the perpetrator is actually the presidential candidate, Kim Joon.
