Episode 5 of The Judge From Hell kicks off with Daon rushing Bitna to the hospital after she collapses. Though her condition seems dire, Bitna suddenly sits upright, surprising everyone, including Arong and Mando. The doctor attributes her collapse to extreme stress.
Once Bitna returns to the villa, she’s greeted by the sassy granny, Oh Mija. The two exchange sharp, witty remarks about death, creating a humorous moment. This lighthearted scene is cut short when Jang Myungsook arrives, blessing Justitia for surviving and praising her faith in the Lord.
Meanwhile, Daon who is now Bitna’s next door neighbor begins contemplating past cases, realizing that the drink cans left at the crime scenes are a telltale sign of Bitna’s involvement.
Determined to better understand human behavior, Bitna sends Mando undercover at a school to gather information. While Mando is busy, Bitna receives a message from Arong, who wants her to join in a hunt for Satan, who escaped Hell after stealing the powerful Kylum artifact. If they can capture Satan and return him to Lucifer and Bael, the reward is significant.
In Hell’s hierarchy, Lucifer holds the top position, followed by Bael and Satan. Justitia, third in command, remains loyal to Lucifer. Satan, having rebelled, fled Hell after failing to defeat Lucifer. The Kylum, an artifact granting eternal life, is crucial for Satan’s plan but remains lost.
As Bitna, Arong, and Mando meet to exchange information, Daon secretly follows them, stumbling into a meeting of demons disguised as chefs. Their demonic powers are hilariously used to cook gourmet meals. Daon bonds with a demon who shows emotion, a serious offense in demon culture, and they agree to keep each other’s secrets. However, the demon notices how Bitna seems affected by Daon.
At the same time, Mando’s visit to church triggers a chaotic reaction during a sermon, as he struggles to contain himself when the pastor speaks about banishing Satan.
Tensions rise when Daon receives a call about a gruesome family murder. The sole survivor, Yang Seungbin, is suspected of the crime, but his multiple personalities complicate the case. One of his personas, Koo Dowan, confesses on tape, but his erratic behavior casts doubt on his guilt.
Despite skepticism from fellow officers, Daon is committed to solving the case. Bitna, intrigued by the murder, sees this as her next big courtroom case. Mando brings her new evidence, interrupting her K-drama binge, and Bitna dives into the investigation.
At the prison, the victim’s grieving mother blames herself for her daughter’s death. Daon, haunted by his own memories, examines the crime scene and discovers the smashed phone, a key piece of evidence.
Bitna is officially assigned to the case, despite resistance from Chief Judge Na, who sees her actions as irrational. Bitna gets support from Assemblyman Jeong, who views her as a valuable asset for the future.
The court case proceeds with Seungbin facing the death penalty if found guilty. During the hearing, his lawyer claims Seungbin has amnesia, prompting a request for a full psychological evaluation. The tension mounts as Seungbin’s personalities battle for control during the trial, leaving Bitna watching with a smirk.
The episode ends with Judge Kang sneaking into the hospital disguised as a nurse, only for Daon to catch her in the act ready to kill seungbin, setting up another thrilling encounter.
Episode 6 of The Judge From Hell begins with Bitna visiting Seungbin after the trial. She confronts him at the hospital, demanding to speak with his alter-ego, Dowan. Once Dowan takes control, he admits to killing his family, which prompts Bitna to laugh at the absurdity of his multiple personalities. This moment reframes her decision to take a “recess” during the last trial.
After this, we pick up from where Episode 5 left off, with Daon hiding under the bed. He chases Bitna as she hurries out of the room, but she manages to disappear without being caught.
Later, Daon confronts Bitna at home, questioning her about her hospital remarks. However, he’s uncertain if it was truly Bitna or someone else in that room. Bitna dismisses his doubts, telling him to provide solid evidence if he wants to arrest her—though she doesn’t know he possesses the incriminating cans.
During the trial, Daon announces that he has found evidence proving Seungbin’s guilt. The audio files retrieved from the cloud reveal that Seungbin mocked his son before murdering his wife and daughter. Daon plays the recording in court, which enrages Bitna. She calls for a recess, knowing her chance to execute Seungbin might slip away.
The courtroom is shocked by the brutality of Seungbin’s actions, but Bitna rules that the evidence is inadmissible since it was submitted late. Declaring Seungbin not guilty due to insanity caused by his personality disorder, Bitna sentences him to two years of treatment instead of execution.
As Seungbin is escorted to prison, a truck crashes into the transport bus. The attackers quickly overpower the guards and abduct Seungbin. Daon tries to intervene but is no match for their superhuman strength. These men, it turns out, are working for Arong and are following Bitna’s orders.
Suspicious of supernatural involvement, Daon approaches Mando, urging him to help. However, Mando, nervous and jittery, refuses. Frustrated, Daon pleads with Bitna to pursue justice for the family through another trial rather than resorting to murder. Bitna, however, insists that her verdict is final.
As Bitna tortures Seungbin in a private hell for his past crimes, she brands his forehead before killing him. The next morning, Daon receives a call that Seungbin has been found dead, with a familiar seal on his forehead. Realizing that the body has been deliberately placed in their jurisdiction, Daon knows Bitna is behind it.
Meanwhile, Chief Na questions Jeong Jaegul about his favoritism toward Bitna, suggesting that her luxurious lifestyle may not be as innocent as it seems.
Elsewhere, Mando uncovers details about Bitna’s past human life. She had no friends or family, always dressed modestly, and her stabbing case remains unsolved.
In a separate plotline, Yunseong, leader of the Satan-detective group, is revealed to have a secret human girlfriend. Arong or Gremero who is secretly Venato whose main mission is tracking down demons that have fallen in love, catches him showing emotions—a crime among demons. To save his girlfriend, Yunseong agrees to be executed and is thrown out of a window to his death.
Arong, observing Bitna’s emotionally charged approach to the Seungbin case, notes that her actions conflict with demon customs. The grandmother of the victim, hoping for a proper trial, is devastated by Seungbin’s murder, which doesn’t bring her the closure she sought. Bitna overhears this but dismisses the concern.
The episode ends with Daon confronting Bitna, accusing her of responsibility for both Yunseong and Seungbin’s deaths. Bitna brushes him off, but Daon vows to bring her to justice. As she leaves, Tae-kyu warns her to stop involving his family in her affairs, expressing discomfort with her presence in the villa. The episode concludes with a woman being attacked in the villa’s alley, leaving the story on a suspenseful note.
