The Impossible Heir Episode 7 Recap

Kang inju callsTae oh using Hye Won’s phone. Tae Oh rushes over to see Inju fearing Hye Won’s in danger but Inju is alone and blackmails him with the pictures he acquired. However, Tae Oh who has been secretly investigating Inju blackmails him as well, exposing him as a drug lord who began exporting drugs after embarking on failed business projects.

Attorney Chu has done his investigation about Tae Oh’s attack and discovered Inju’s secretary was responsible. Chairman Kang then tells him to keep that detail quiet.

Kang inju doesn’t give a damn about Tae Oh’s threats. He reminds him that no matter what happens, he is still Chairman Kang’s first son whereas he and Hye won are nobodies. He threatens to hurt Hye won if Tae Oh doesn’t kneel and submit to him. To his surprise, Tae Oh kneels and Kang inju laughs yelling that he must love Hye won so much.

He then makes Tae oh drink to stupor with him as he frolicks around, messing with women and drugs. Tae oh becomes unconscious and when he wakes, finds himself in that murder scene. He can’t believe this was his doing. Kang Seonju is at the gym working out when his secretary informs him that inju has been murdered. He is in shock. Inju’s wife mourns. Huiju is pained whereas Mrs Kang seemed unconcerned.

The news spreads about Kang Inju’s death and of Tae Oh being the prime suspect. Hye Won is worried about Tae Oh and pleads with In ha to help prove Tae Oh’s Innocence. In ah promises her and drives off. He arrives at the company and recalls Chairman Kang instructing him to keep their family away from Tae Oh’s issue.

Meanwhile, Tae oh is being interrogated. He explains that he doesn’t remember what happened. However, it’s obvious that he was being framed and the detective is determined to pin the murder on him as he tells Tae Oh cocaine and metamorphine was found in his system. He purposely drugged himself to feign ignorance of his crime.

In his cell, Tae Oh tries hard to recall what happened but he finds it difficult. However, the news have spread further. Chairman Kang calls In ah to yell at him that he didn’t block the media. In ha apologizes but Chairman Kang doesn’t care about his apologies. He threatens to cut off all ties if he doesn’t do his job properly. Meanwhile, Wan the hacker has packed up his things. He visits his  italian white friend who gives him a new passport. His friend  tells him he’s trying to run away but Wan denies it, saying he is just preparing in case of an unforeseeable problem.

In ha returns home and gets into an argument with Hye Won who accuses him of not protecting Tae Oh but inha coldly replies that she should consider herself part of the Kang family and for her sake, erase all her memories of Tae Oh and not get him angry. Hye won shivers feeling he has become a different person.

Tae Oh is taken to court where Kang Inju’s secretary testifies against him. He lies that Tae Oh was the one who wanted to party more. He also uses Tae Oh’s threatening words to inju against him.

That night, In ha visits Tae Oh in prison and completely cuts off ties with him, blaming him for ruining their plans and dreams. As Tae oh is led back to his cell, he is surprised that In ah didn’t even question his reason and just blamed him.

Attorney Chu reports to Chairman Kang about the court proceedings. Chairman Kang is confused over how In ju’s secretary who was responsible for almost killing Tae Oh could also be standing trial against him. He instructs Attorney Chu to find out everything about him.

In the prison courtyard, Tae oh gets dizzy and faints. Suddenly, a memory from the night of the murder brushes through his head and he remembers that someone else was in that room with them.

Tae Oh wakes up alone in the infirmary. He is about to use the desk phone when the female doctor appears. She cautions him against starving himself just to prove his innocence. She then prescribes him vitamins and allows him to use the phone for a limited time. Tae Oh calls Hye Won’s number. She was sleeping next to In ah but after hearing Tae Oh’s voice, she slips away from their bedroom to talk to him. She asks if he really killed Inju but Tae Oh sincerely tells her he can’t remember. She asks how she can help him. Just then, a police officer enters and catches him red hand.

As he is led away, the officer demands a bribe in exchange for his silence. Tae oh has no choice but to comply. Meanwhile, In ah occupies Tae Oh’s office much to the employees confusion. He gets angry with a staff member for not changing the name tag before he arrived and scoffs sarcastically at the employees looking at him.

Hye Won meets with Wan the hacker telling him that Tae Oh requested his help. Wan refuses because he wants nothing to do with Tae oh but Hye Won convinces him because Tae Oh has things to use against him.

In ah takes over Tae Oh’s project where he’s investigating the professor and two other men. The office name tag has now been changed from Tae Oh to In ha.

Using the doctor’s phone, Tae Oh calls Hye Won again. She tells him she has done what he wanted and once more assures him of her support. The doctor tells Tae Oh his time is up so he reluctantly ends the call. Meanwhile, Hye Won is surprised to see In ha behind her, almost as if he had listened to her conversation. She welcomes him awkwardly and when she walks past him, he suddenly hugs her, whispering that he needs her comfort (manipulative jerk)

Tae Oh is surprised when Wan suddenly visits him in prison under the disguise of being his lawyer. Wan actually came to warn him to not contact him again. He’s especially against him sending Hye Won to him since she’s now part of the Kang family. Tae oh however tells him his threats isn’t over. He tells him to find out everything about Mo gijun, Kang Inju’s secretary since he’s the only one who would know the truth.

Wan now begins hacking again focusing his attention on Mo gijun. Meanwhile someone calls In ah at his office. It’s Mo gijun. The episode ends with Tae oh been found guilty in court and given the death sentence. Tae Oh looses his cool and yells he’s innocent as officers grab him by the arm.

I am so damn disappointed. Inha is the villain? He has been using Tae Oh since the beginning. I really really dislike him now and can’t wait for Tae Oh to discover who he really is and get his revenge. As for Hye Won, I still don’t like her character.
