Actress Park Ji Ah passed away on September 30 at the age of 52, following a battle with cerebral infarction. Her agency, BILLIONS, confirmed the news, stating that she died at 2:50 a.m. KST. Known for her dedication to acting, Park Ji Ah was remembered fondly by her agency, who expressed their sorrow. The funeral is set to take place on October 2, with the mortuary located at Asan Medical Center in Seoul.

Park Ji Ah debuted in 2002 in The Coast Guard after studying theatre at Seoul Institute of the Arts. She gained fame for her role as Song Hye Kyo’s mother in The Glory and was also known for her roles in Cleaning Up, Bloody Heart, and Judge vs Judge. Her last film appearance was in Hijacking 1971 (2024), and her filmography includes notable works like The Closet, Rampant, and Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum.
