Taichi meets the stranger at the bus again, even handing him a small plaster for a cut in his hand to which the man thanks him. At school, Takara’s friend Akira informs him that Taichi has joined their social group. Meanwhile, Taichi finally submits his filled form to the hiking leader, there by officially joining the club.
With Mei’s suggestion, he goes to Masaya’s shop to buy hiking gear but runs into Takara. Takara helps him pick some clothes which makes Masaya tease him. Just as Takara’s leaving for his part time job, Taichi asks if he can call him when he’s in danger but Takara tells him he won’t answer ridiculous calls. He leaves and Masaya advises Taichi to keep trying so Takara opens up to him.
Taichi is surprised to see the strange man greet him just as he’s leaving the shop. That night, in a phone call with his mom, Taichi’s sister tells him to send pictures of celebrity places instead of his usual trees and mountains. The next day, Taichi tries to find out what Takara likes. He discovers he likes eating ramen, he likes skateboarding, he loves drinking coffee and reading books about mountains.
Taichi heads home and is taking pictures of pretty marigolds pondering whether he should send it to Takara when the strange man suddenly approaches him asking to eat a meal with him in his house. Taichi, uncomfortable, refuses and runs to his apartment, locking his door. However, the man remains outside urging Taichi to let him in even till night. Taichi calls Takara while he’s having dinner with his friends and he immediately rushes out. His friends think he’s meeting a girl.
From inside, Taichi tells the man he is uncomfortable and the man replies he doesn’t understand since Taichi had opened up to him, even smiling at him. He keeps banging on the door until Takara arrives and threatens to call the police on him for scaring Taichi. The man apologises and leaves.
Taichi hugs Takara as soon as he opens the door. They both go inside and Taichi remarks that Takara smells of alcohol. Taichi wonders why that man stalked him when he’s a man. Takara responds that there are men who finds other men attractive and tells him to pick the right person whether man or woman to which Taichi asks if he can pick him but Takara changes the conversation by warning Taichi not to talk to strangers and be gullible to people.
The next day, Taichi shows Takara a picture of the marigold flower he wanted to send him the previous day. As usual, Takara acts disinterested.
In the next episode, Taichi has a hard time finding the location for the hiking club welcoming party. When he finally does, he is fawned over by the other members for being cute, with some girls asking if he’s dating anyone. Taichi is busy admiring Takara when he learns he has even climbed Kilimanjaro. He is flustered when Takara’s friend Akira asks if he really followed Takara all the way here like someone who is in love. Taichi remembers Takara’s words about men liking men and becomes conflicted. He publicly asks if men can really feel attracted to other men which causes everyone to become silent but he ends the tension by saying it isn’t deep. Just then, Takara gestures to him to be quiet. People notice and jokingly ask if there’s something betweem them but Taichi doesn’t say another word.
Taichi tries to understand his feelings for Takara. When he’s with his friends, he watches Emiri and Akira, Takara’s friend fawn over a boy band group they both like especially a certain member called Rurui. Taichi is surprised that men can also admire other men and ponders over this on his way home. He nearly falls but Takara appears and saves him. Takara asks what he is thinking about but Taichi can’t really explain. Taichi asks where he is going to, making Takara pout, asking if he’s his wife as he’s always curious to know where he’s going. Taichi apologises. Taichi is happy when Takara asks if he has time only to find himself in a gym exercising to train his core. Taichi is amazed when Takara is doing pull ups and he thinks his admiration comes from being his fan.
So he follows Emiri’s lessons about being a fan and stalks Takara everywhere trying to know everything about him. But when Emiri’s idol Rurui suddenly withdraws from the band, Emiri is depressed which makes Taichi sad. Just then, Takara confronts Taichi asking why he keeps secretly following him around. Taichi responds that he’s his fan which makes Takara flustered asking when their relationship turned into a fan one. Taichi surprises him when he asks him if he can explain his feelings to him. Just then, they discover that Emiri is missing. Everyone searches for her. They finally find her in the roof top and they think she’s going to kill herself by jumping but she was actually just listening to her idol’s music with an earpiece. She’s surprised when she discovers everyone is worried about her.
Emiri apologises for worrying everyone. She says she will support Rurui’s decision and admire him from afar which leaves Taichi puzzled. On his way home, Takara insists on following him to protect him from stalkers whereas Taichi wants to maintain distance between them.
Takara then clarifies that they aren’t in a main and Stan relationship. They are equal and that Taichi can get to know him all he wants as long as he stops sneaking around and becomes straight forward. Taichi is happy about this but still is confused about his true feelings. He is shocked the next day to discover that Akira and Emiri are now dating. He asks Emiri about her feelings for Rurui but she responds that it’s different. She can’t date her idol. Taichi is completely flabbergasted and suddenly seems to loose his soul.
Takara enters and sees Taichi’s friends trying to rouse him from his daze when he suddenly gets a call that sparks a painful memory for him.
