Jeonghan from SEVENTEEN is scheduled to begin his mandatory military service in the latter part of 2024. Even though he has recorded all the material in advance, he won’t be able to take part in promoting the group’s 12th mini-album. Conversely, Jun, another member of SEVENTEEN, will not be present at the upcoming Lollapalooza Berlin performance.
On August 12, PLEDIS Entertainment, the agency of SEVENTEEN, released a statement about the future plans of Jeonghan and Jun. It was announced that Jeonghan will be joining the military in the latter part of 2024.
While the agency has not revealed the specific date, it has been confirmed that the K-pop idol will not be participating in the group’s promotions for their 12th mini album in October. He will also be absent from the SEVENTEEN RIGHT HERE WORLD TOUR, set to start in October.
Furthermore, it has been disclosed that he will have the opportunity to see CARATs one final time before enlistment at Lollapalooza Berlin and the fan signing event previously mentioned.
In the meantime, PLEDIS Entertainment revealed that Jun will be unable to join the group’s Lollapalooza Berlin show in September. He will begin seeking acting roles and exploring other opportunities in China during the second half of the year. Therefore, because of the clash in filming schedules on location, a decision was reached.
He will not be present at the group’s music show performances for their 12th mini-album and SEVENTEEN RIGHT HERE WORLD TOUR. Similar to Jeonghan, Jun has also finished filming content in advance for the group’s upcoming events.
PLEDIS Entertainment has urged fans to comprehend this abrupt change and asked for their support in Jeonghan’s successful completion of mandatory military service.
SEVENTEEN has numerous events planned for the next couple of months. In a previous announcement, PLEDIS Entertainment verified that the K-pop group will return with their 12th mini-album in October. After the album is released, they will start a global tour, visiting fans in various cities throughout Asia and the United States. At the same time, the thirteen-member boy group is set to perform as the main act at Lollapalooza Berlin on September 7 and 8.
