At the hospital the next day, Hae in is lack luster while getting her treatment while Hyun woo speaks to the doctor who tells him Hae in isn’t getting any better. Just then, a nurse enters to reveal that Hae in had decided not to get treated anymore. The doctor tells Hyun woo that it’s already suicide for a patient to loose hope.

Hyun Woo and Hae in leave the hospital and he asks her why she stopped the treatment. Hae in replies that he makes her disgusted and that she had lost all will to live because of him. In a desperate measure, Hyun woo decides to spike Hae In’s anger, thinking It was better for her to direct her anger towards him than completely loose all hope to live so he tells her hurtful words, saying their marriage was hell for him and that he had been glad when he heard she was dying. He challenges her that she cannot do anything to him but Hae in vows to make his life miserable.

Meanwhile, the Hongs are gearing up to work with Eun Sung unaware of the what he and his co horts have set up. The evil strategist plan to ensure that all their investors pull out from the project leaving only them to invest. But when they are unable to meet up with the criterias needed to build the resort, Eun sung would use a contract to take over the remaining shares.

Hae-in and Hyun Woo return to Korea and go their separate ways. She returns home where her family talks about Hyun woo’s intention for divorce, citing it could be because of a mistress. Seon hwa suggests she immediately get a divorce but Hae in tells them she would make things difficult for Hyun woo and how she plans to do it leaves them all in shudders.

Meanwhile, Hyun woo meets up with his friend Yang ki. He is clearly unhappy, hurting Hae in which surprises Yang ki who thinks he should be happy he’s finally divorcing. Hyun woo returns to the house attempting to meet with Chairman Man dae but everyone hounds him over what he did to Hae In. Seon hwa humiliates him by telling him to remove any electronic devices on his body before entering the office. Hyun woo leaves his phone outside and enters there. Just then, Hyun woo’s mother calls his line and Seon hwa speaks up. She’s rude towards her as she tells her that Hyun woo bugged her father in law and that she shouldn’t stop her from keeping him apart from Hae in.

Hyun woo’s mother is devastated after the call leaving her other children worried. When they hear that Hyun woo is actually getting a divorce, his brother immediately sells off the queen shares he had bought recently.

Hyun woo tries to make Chairman Kang see that he has been framed. He tells him that the financial director Jo knew of Director Song’s embezzlement and did nothing about it because they were friends. He even shows Chairman Man dae pictures of the two as friends but Chairman Man dae yells that there is no real evidence of his claim. Meanwhile, they have no idea that they are being watched by Eun Sung who had planted a camera in the room.

While Mr Baek is discussing with his friends as they ponder over how to win the election, his eldest son suddenly arrives telling him about Hyun woo and Hae in’s divorce. This causes Mr Baek to get depressed as his chances of winning is now zero.

Seul hee and Seon hwa are talking about Hae in and Hyun woo’s divorce. Seon hwa is angry that Hyun woo’s mother knew about the divorce before they did. Beom ja suddenly interrupts their conversation. It takes a lot for her not to expose what she already knows. She asks about Hae in hinting that she’s struggling a lot which causes the other two to be confused.

Beom ja leaves them but when she sees Hyun woo coming the opposite direction,

she completely ignores him.

Hyun woo is heading to his room when Hae in comes out of her room to show him she had signed the divorce papers. She promises to hire the best lawyers and make sure he doesn’t leave the house unscathed. Hyun woo accepts her anger without putting up a fight but he warns her to be careful of Eun Sung, listing out all his suspicions but Hae in sees there isn’t any real evidence. Besides, she would have been able to easily figure out if he was deceiving her but Hyun woo reminds her that he easily deceived her so she shouldn’t make the same mistake.

Hae In’s anger reaches an all time high the next day as she eats a peculiar meal of beef and dresses ravishly in a sparking jewel and all red. When she arrives at the store, her moodiness is noticed by all. Her secretary explains to the new staffs that whenever Hae in dresses ravishly, it means she’s in a terrible mood.

They wonder what could be making her angry. It isn’t long before they know because Hae in and Hyun woo start making work difficult and trading barbs to each other using their secretaries. As a result, the workers are having a hard time so both Hae in and Hyun woo’s secretaries resolve to ensure that they never run into each other but their plan falls through when they meet at the elevator. They throw jabs at each other before each of them and their staff go their separate ways in a tense atmosphere.

Grace escorts financial director Jo who had embezzled the company money to the airport to board a flight. While a maid acting working in Hae In’s house takes pictures of a medical bill she had thrown in the trash and texts it to Eun Sung further heightening his suspicions that Hae in is gravely ill.

Meanwhile, Hyun woo visits an old friend who is a jewellery seller requesting her help to trace the payment of a certain watch, the one worn by Mr Song’s friend in the picture. The woman agrees to help.

At the house, Soo Cheol is learning how ro ride a bike while Da hye watches but Seon hwa sees him fall and immediately rushes up to him. She tells him to stop learning these sort of things because she’s afraid he would hurt himself. However, Soo cheol is upset, telling his mother that she had never made him learn anything on his own. He had wanted to learn to ride a bike so he could teach his son. Hearing this makes Da hye feel guilty.

She suddenly recieves a call and goes to answer it privately. It’s from a real estate agent who has told her that her house in new York has been prepared for her. She has to claim it as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Hae in who is suspecting that Hyun woo has a mistress requests her secretary to find out everything he does but her secretary returns back to tell him that he was yelling a woman’s name Yeong suk in the company green room. Hae in says she recognizes that name.

Hae In’s father Beom jun meets with his spies who he had planted to constantly follow Hyun woo but there’s no evidence at all that he’s cheating on Hae in. Instead, it’s surprising that when they hacked into his phone, what they saw there was mostly a picture of a road side cat he usually feeds and Hae in. The way he took the photos of Hae in so well indicates that he loves her which is odd for someone who was going to divorce her.

Beom jun tells Hae in this but she believes that Hyun woo is only getting perfect at hiding himself since he knows the family always watches him. The next day at the office, Hae In’s secretary lets her know what next she has found out. Hyun woo doesn’t spend much money but recently he has been spending money on a flower shop moulin rouge, purchasing flowers and sending it to a certain Kim min Ji. Hae in and her secretary traces where the woman is but is shocked to find that she’s at a funeral home. The Kim min Ji turns out to be the staff whom she had defended from the rude couple. Turned out her mother had finally died. Kim Min Ji thanks Hae in for attending her mother’s funeral and for sending them so much flowers. Hyun woo had actually sent the flowers under Hae In’s name and this makes her feel confused. The woman cries sorrowfully and Hae in embraces her.

Hae in and her secretary sit down at the guest area both pointing out how different it is from their world where people actually mourn instead of fighting for inheritance at after a person dies. Hae in looks around admiring how peaceful and serene the place is which makes her secretary ask if she’s interested in the funeral home.

As Hae in is leaving, she comes across Hyun woo who is coming in to pay his respects but she’s cold to him, telling him there’s nothing he would do to make her forgive him because he abandoned her when she needed him the most.

She joins her secretary outside who pleads with her to get along with her husband because she’s giving everyone in the store a hard time. Hae in brushes her aside.

Hae in meets with Eun Sung to discuss business. She tells him to come out clean and tell her what he really wants in exchange for his help. Eun sung gets honest, saying he only wants her to divorce Hyun woo. He’s interested in replacing him and had done so many things to be worthy of her. But Hae in is offended and rejects his advances. As she’s leaving, her illness hits and she gets dizzy but she manages to control herself and goes outside to search her bag for her medicine but she can’t find it. Eun sung actually has it. He had found out from Hyun woo’s secretary who is his spy that the drug is an anti cancer drug.

Meanwhile, Yang ki who has done his digging on Eun sung tells Hyun woo that Eun Sung’s adoptive parents died due to drunk driving but what was suspicious was that they were never drinkers.

At the same time, Seul hee visits Eun Sung in his house happy that he was living close by. It is revealed that she’s his mother and she  tells him to call her that but Eun Sung is cold towards her reminding her that she never gave him the right to do so such that now, calling her mom isn’t a part of him.

Seul hee apologizes for letting go of him explaining she didn’t have the financial ability to care for him at the time but now she has managed to crawl her way into the Hong family.  However, Eun Sung recalls bitterly how badly treated she is by the family but Seul hee says she has Chairman Man dae at the palm of her hands and would soon take everything the family has. But Eun Sung chuckles at her naivety telling her she’s so careless to think it would be that easy. He shows her CCTV footage of Chairman Man dae currently watching his old family videos. It is clear he still loves and cherishes them so she has to turn the tables.

Seul hee then goes to Chairman Man Dae giving him an undertaken that she’s willing to go to jail and take the fall for him should he be arrested for embezzling funds. Chairman Man dae is taken aback and touched by her ‘act’ declaring that she’s better than his children.

That night, Hyun woo is returning home in the rain when he notices Hae in at the road side feeding the stray cat. He approaches her to ask why she’s alone but she doesn’t remember and proceeds to remind him of the umbrella she’s holding. It was the one he gave her when he confessed his love to her. Hyun woo is surprised at her change of attitude, especially when she starts talking about something they had already discussed a long time ago. She talks about going to Germany for treatment (something she had already done for)

It is then it dawns on Hyun woo that she had forgotten some parts of her life especially when she found out he deceived her. Tears start spilling down his eyes making Hae in confused. She hugs him and tells him she loves him. Hyun woo only cries harder.

The episode ends.

Epilogue.
