Eun Sung sees Hae In’s diary on the ground. After reading it, he throws it inside a fire then uses the information in there to lie to Hae in after she woke from her surgery. He paints Hyun woo as a cheater and a stalker stressing that she wanted to commit suicide because of him. He even bandages his hand lying that he had broken it while smashing the car window to save her during an accident. She even ends up recalling the time she nearly got hit by a car when she learned Hyun woo wanted to divorce her but now she thinks it’s because he cheated on her.
Meanwhile, the detective in charge of the case believes Hyun woo is guilty after several evidence like his hair sample were found in the crime scene. One month later, Hae In’s family arrive at the airport to see her but she’s cold towards them because Eun Sung had also fed her lies saying they treated her terribly. Her grandfather gave him control of the company because they only cared about money. Hae in confronts each of them for what they did. Like Soo cheol and her mother for suppressing her energy with a talisman. They try to explain to her that it was all in the past but Eun Sung prevents them from speaking to her
On their way home, Eun Sung lies that they had planned to get married and that they should conclude their marriage plans as soon as possible, telling her he would take care of everything. But her family know that Eun Sung would want to marry her so Beom jun introduces them to a group of investigators who have been following Eun Sung and Hae in in Germany.
Eun Sung confronts Seul hee for trying to kill Hae in in an accident. She doesn’t deny it warning him that Hae in would be in danger if he insists on being with her. However, Eun sung shocks her when he reveals ryhat he watched her from the painting he had gifted Chairman Man dae and knows when she poisoned him. He threatens to expose her if he keeps trying to hurt Hae in.
Meanwhile, Hae in is surprised to find that her room is completely empty. There’s nothing in there that can help her regain her memory. Somehow, she ends up in Hyun woo’s room and sees the pink mp3 on top of the table. She listens to the songs there, surprised that she and Hyun woo share the same taste in music. She’s curious to know the type of person he is so she decides to visit her ‘enemy’ as she called him. But when they meet, she’s surprised by how happy he is to see her and how worried he is of her, even saying he missed her. Hae in is stunned, calling him a murderer but when he asks her why she still came to see him knowing that, there’s nothing she can say. Hyun Woo says that somehow she has doubts and tells her not to trust Eun sung. He tells her that no matter what, he would be with her and Hae in mocks him asking how he would do that when he’s locked up.
Unfortunately, they aren’t able to speak much as his visiting time has ended. When Hae in watches him being taken away, it’s as if a part of her chest is being ripped apart. She suddenly feels nauseous and heads to a pharmacy wondering why she feels affected by Hyun woo. When she returns home, Eun Sung yells at her for leaving without permission and this annoys Hae in who can’t understand why he’s still worried when the person stalking her is behind bars. She asks him to give her privacy and he reluctantly does so.
Meanwhile, behind the scenes, Hyun woo and his supporters are working tirelessly to get him out of prison. They find evidence that wasn’t given to the court, a piece of green fabric that belonged to the actual killer. After providing enough evidence and even video footage of the criminal, Hyun woo is cleared of the murder charges much to Eun Sung’s annoyance. The real murderer is arrested, maintaining that he committed the crime alone.
Meanwhile, Hae in has reunited with Secretary Na and surprisingly, people whom she helped, meet to thank her, making her believe she was a kind person when we all know she really wasn’t. Unfortunately, Secretary Na can’t tell her anything about Hyun woo because of an NDA she signed. Hae in stalks the prison with Secretary Na after finding out he was released and takes notes about him when she sees how well loved he is by his siblings. She even follows him to his home where a huge welcome is waiting for him, surprised when she sees her own brother Soo Cheol embracing him. She also learns he’s living in his family’s home.
Secretary Na tells her that she still has her intuition so she wonders why she can’t tell who she really loves. She tells her that her heart is where her body is. Meanwhile, in Germany, Hae in’s diary is found by a grounds sweeper. Surprisingly it isn’t completely burnt and the four leaved clover in front of it is surprisingly still intact. The diary is taken to the embassy and a staff says the dairy was requested to be found by Hyun woo’s lawyer Yang ki.
Beom ja visits hyun woo, in reality to see Yeong Seong. She brings with her plenty of gifts which the villagers all play a rally to win in celebration of Hyun woo’s home coming. Beom ja cleverly makes Yeong Seong win a washer but he rejects it, giving it to his friend and his wife. However, this upsets Beom ja and she follows him out finally expressing her love for him and asking if he won’t hold onto her because she would soon leave and never return. But to her surprise, Hyun woo’s brother walks up to her, telling her that the microphone was attached to the speaker in the hall so everyone heard her. Sure enough, the villagers are all watching the scene with amusement. Beom ja runs away in embarrassment and Yeong Seong follows after her.
At a company meeting, the members of the board inform Eun Sung that Hyun woo intends to be reinstated back into the company and there’s nothing they can do to stop him since it’s being proven he’s innocent. Not only that, a group of LP’s have set up a meeting to remove him from his chairmanship position. Eun Sung asks who is responsible for this. It turns out to be his mother Seul hee who is getting ready to abandon her son and go for what she wants by becoming the chairman herself.
Intending to keep his position, Eun Sung starts buying shares. Hyung woo and the Hong family are aware of this. Hyun woo also gives them a USB drive containing the evidence of Eun Sung’s two trillion won scam. They are all surprised to hear it was given by Da hye. However, that night, Da hye finds herself in danger of losing her life when after meeting her ex, he and his thugs decide to kill her on the order of Seul hee. But Soo Cheol discovers them, smashing into their car window and chasing after them until he catches up with them at a railway stop. But he’s badly beaten up refusing to give up despite Da hye’s screams. Eventually, thanks to Hyun woo’s brother’s training, he gets the upper hand and throws several punches at the men until they loose consciousness. Thankfully, Hyun woo’s brother and his friend arrive to take care of the one left standing while Da hye holds a bloody Soo Cheol in his arms while crying her eyes out.
Hae in tries to hide from Hyun woo but he eventually runs into her, pleading with her to talk with him. The two sit at a restaurant and she expresses her discomfort at his appearance in the company, telling him to find somewhere else to work as she wouldn’t be seduced into falling for him again. Hyun woo says he can’t leave her and that he’s disappointed he isn’t her ideal type even though she had promised she would still fall for him when she regained her memory. Hae in refuses to talk more with him so she leaves but it gets hilarious when her bag gets stuck making her think it’s Hyun woo holding onto her. When she turns around and sees that isn’t the case, she leaves in embarrassment.
The next day, Hae in is leaving for work when she sees a package on the center table but Grace appears, distracting her attention. She lies that she’s her favorite person while hugging her but Hae in can’t be deceived and steps away from her, causing Grace to wonder how Hae in knew they weren’t really close and yet, still let’s Eun Sung deceive her. In the car, Hae in suddenly gets a message from herself to come at the aquarium. She’s surprised but goes there regardless, shocked to see Hyun woo. She asks him why he’s here. He’s clueless as well, showing her the invitation she had also sent him. Suddenly, the glass shows video of their wedding and the two of them promising to be with each other in the future. After the video ends, the staff appears with flowers for Hyun woo, letting him know it was from Hae in and that she had rented out the whole place just like she did four years ago, the day he proposed. Hyun woo is surprised but Hae in has no idea what’s going on and still doesn’t believe she can do all these for someone who cheated on her. Hyun woo says she’s right. She can’t do this for a cheater because he really didn’t cheat on her and tells her she only came because she had doubts. She sees the cut on his hand and gets suspicious as Hyun woo tells her she doesn’t have to believe him but she shouldn’t believe Eun Sung either and that she should doubt everything and everyone.
Hae in leaves full of questions. When she arrives home, she comes to see Eun Sung in his room but he is drunk. He leaves to get her a drink but while he’s away, Hae in is drawn to a notification on his computer. She opens it and is surprised to see surveillance footage of everywhere in the house. She also sees the video of Seul hee and her grandfather. She drops the computer before Eun Sung returns and leaves his room with an excuse after noticing he didn’t have a scar on his hand from supposedly rescuing her.
She goes to her room and calls Secretary Na asking for Hyun woo’s number. She sends it and calls Hyun woo, asking to meet him. After the call, she notices that same package on the table. She opens it and it’s her burnt diary. She reads it and the truth dawns on her. Hae in tears up, filled with regret and apologising under her breath.
Next, we see Hae in driving to meet Hyun woo. She stops at a road crossing where Hyun woo stands waiting to meet with her.
Suddenly, a huge bus drives blocking them from seeing each other. When the bus passes away, Hae in has disappeared. Hyun woo crosses the road to look for her but he’s run over by an incoming vehicle and looses consciousness on the spot.
Epilogue.
Beom jun’s detective who had monitored Hae in and Eun Sung in Germany discovered that despite outward appearance, Hae in exhibited behaviors that showed she wasn’t interested in Eun Sung, things like refusing to let him cover her or letting him walk with her, a strong factor that he was in a one sided love and would soon do something dangerous. Turns out he eventually did because he was the one who hit Hyun woo with his car.
