The episode begins a long time ago with Jung won distracting Tae heon during his stake out. The two of them spend time together with Jung won telling Tae heon she hopes he can find her father’s killer. The two share their first kiss.
But in the present, they are both in opposite sides with Tae heon accusing Jung Won of murder and for probably assisting Woo jae by covering up his crime. After the questioning, Jung won is hurt by Tae heon’s behavior and leaves. Meanwhile, Woo jae visits the psychiatrist. Their reactions towards each other hints at something deeper as Woo jae requests her help.
Jung won is so distracted due to Tae heon’s questioning that she nearly gets into an accident while driving. Tae heon’s partner shows up and asks if she’s okay, even offering to help drive her car but Jung Won refuses and drives of. Turns out it was actually Tae heon who sent him to follow her. His partner tells him what happened to Jung won while at the same time warning him against drinking too much.
As soon as Jung won arrives at her apartment, she opens her safe where she kept her laptop then tries to check the images she took of Cha Eun sae when she found her dead but she can’t find the necklace in any of them. She calls zeus and asks him to give her all the pictures the police took of the murder scene. Zeus agrees but he’s skeptical of Jung Won, hoping she didn’t really kill Eun sae so that he can keep working and earning money from her. Zeus immediate sends her the pictures and she goes though them.
The next morning, Jung won is woken up by the news on the TV talking about how she and her husband are suspects in Cha Eun sae’s murder. Frustrated, she heads to her office. Meanwhile, Tae heon and his partner are suspecting that Cha Eun sae knew about Woo jae’s other mistress and that this woman was the one who killed her..Woo jae arrives at the station and confronts Tae heon for bringing Jung won in for questioning but Tae heon tells him he’s aware of his other mistress and that he would find out who she is and why Woo jae keeps protecting her
Meanwhile, Jung Won’s colleagues and his superior are questioning whether to keep her show running or not. Jung won calls the superior to let her know she’ll be arriving soon but as she approaches the news station, she sees a group of people protesting that she be terminated and her program stopped. The superior prevents her from entering by jumping into her car. As they drive away, he breaks the terrible news to her. Her show will be replaced with another one headed by Ji ho, her rival on the order of the CEO. Jung Won tries to plead with him but it all falls on deaf ears.
Meanwhile Tae heon and his partner are trying to find out who the other mistress could possibly be when Tae heon comes across a familiar name on Cha Eun sae’s call list. Song Hye Song who is Assemblyman Mo’s secretary. They quickly go to question him about why he called Cha Eun sae days before her murder. Secretary Song replies that he had helped her when she was nearly attacked by a crazy stalker so she had called him to thank him for his help. Tae heon and his partner find him suspicious.
Jung won goes to the CEO’s house hoping to persuade him to retain her show but she ends up meeting Ji ho. He calls the CEO himself who informs them he would meet Jung won at work. Ji ho then mocks her by saying he would replace her show and the first people he would interview is her and her husband.
As he leaves, Jung Won’s colleague calls to inform her that her father in law has an influence over the news station CEO since he helped him gain his position. Jung won then goes to plead with him but encounters Woo jae there. She ignores Woo jae and assures her father in law that she would do everything to gain his help, even offering to divorce Woo jae but Seol Pan ho insists she stay married to save face. Either that or risk loosing her show.
Jung won meets Woo jae outside but has nothing good to say to him, deeming him a stranger and a psychopath who has manipulated her this whole time. She leaves him angrily. Now, she’s faced with that choice of seeking justice or succumbing to manipulation.
With the help of Cha Eun sae’s manager, Tae heon and his partner are able to locate her stalker who is a delivery man. They also notice Seol Woo jae’s name scribbled on a calendar at his desk. They find Cha Eun sae’s stalker while he’s taking taking cryptic videos of a young woman. They chase him until they catch him. Tae heon asks the stalker how he knew Woo jae and he replies that they were high school mates. He only sought him out to borrow money. Tae heon let him go on the condition that he comes to the police station for questioning or risk his home getting raided.
Meanwhile, Jung Won faces the reporters at her news station. She gets hit by eggs but remains unfazed as she declares her support for her husband lying that he and Cha Eun sae weren’t lovers. When asked why she supports her husband despite that scandal, Jung won says it’s because she loves him.Tae heon watches her on TV and is struck with anger at her audacity to lie.
Jung Won’s superior scolds her for her daring move but in the end, allows her to continue her show temporarily unless they bring in a groundbreaking report. Jung Won says there’s no case bigger than that of Cha Eun sae’s murder but the superior forbids her from bringing it up again. As they disperse, Jung Won’s colleagues express their dissapointment at her choice by siding with her husband when it’s clear he really had an affair.
The psychiatrist secretary calls her again to apologise for the mistake. She also lets her know she used to be friends with Cha Eun sae. Jung won later adds her as a friend on Instagram. Jung Won then heads home and starts parking her things to return to Woo jae when Tae heon suddenly barges in expressing his anger and suspicion towards Jung won for protecting her husband. Jung Won tells him to leave but he sees pictures of Cha Eun sae’s murder scene on Jung Won’s laptop. He wants to be sure of what he saw but Jung Won shuts down the laptop but as Tae heon holds her, the moment between them is charged with tension as they remember their first kiss.
They awkwardly seperate and Jung won chastises Tae heon for coming to her house knowing fully well she is alone. Tae heon ignores her and starts taking pictures of her coat hung on the wall. He then reveals that her husband bought that same type of coat for another one of his mistresses. Jung Won is stunned and she should ask her husband about it.
Jung won returns to live with Woo jae. He is happy to see her again and reveals he had to stop writing and work for his father again in exchange for his help. Jung won is tempted to ask him about his second mistress but she holds herself back and agrees to stay on the condition that he does what she wants. Woo jae agrees and that night while he’s asleep, she snoops around the house and gets recordings of Jung Won’s conversations but Woo jae catches her. However, she lies saying she was looking for files and wanted to go for a drive that night..She leaves for the car park downstairs and installs a tracker under Woo jae’s car before venturing to hear all of Woo jae’s voice recordings from night to morning.
That morning, Woo jae urges to reconcile but Jung won tells him she would never forgive him but Woo jae is still determined to get her back, even hugging her to prove his sincerity
Jung won then relays all her findings to the psychiatrist. She tells her about Woo jae’s other mistress and her determination to destroy his life. The psychiatrist asks why she’s telling her and Jung won replies that it’s just in case something happens to her. The psychiatrist then leaves to attend to a call and when she’s gone, Jung won checks the tracker she placed on Woo jae’s car noticing immediately that he is in the same location as her but then she sees an identical coat to the one she has is hung on a rack in the office.
Tae heon suddenly sends her the video of Woo jae with his other mistress in a restaurant and Jung Won can see how identical the coat looks with the other mistress. The truth is apparent now and as the psychiatrist returns, Jung Won faces her, ready for war.
