As Ki Joo cries, the seal at his back completely disappears. A huge wind erupts sweeping him and a few books out of the studio before the door completely shuts away from him. Han Bom enters to find him in a shabby state. Ki Joo tells her about Nam ku and cries in her arms. The next day, Ki Joo, Han Bom and Seung Hoon holds a tearful send off memorial service for Nam ku at a temple. (They did my man Nam ku dirty. The man went through so much, the worst part being his wife cheating on him only for the writers to have him disintegrate like that. I hope this isn’t really the end for him because I’m really going to throw hands)
Having heard from Min hyeon about her husband’s ghost, Na rae visits Ki Joo at his studio and inquires about what she heard. However, Ki Joo replies that her husband is no longer with them and gives her the signed divorce document Nam ku had given him. He lies that her husband had given it to him while he was alive and wanted her to move on and be happy. (Happy my foot!!!) After hearing this, Na rae is tormented by regret, crying as she drags herself home.
Han Bom opens the Studio door and confirms it’s no longer there. She tells Ki Joo that he has finally gotten rid of his curse. However, she wonders why he can still see ghosts. ki Joo replies that it’s probably a side effect. Suddenly, Han Bom sneezes seemingly not feeling well so Ki Joo rushes out to find her medicine. Meanwhile, the scar on her wrist has changed to the mark Ki Joo used to have on his back. She decides not to tell Ki Joo so that he wouldn’t worry too much.
Ji won is hurt when her Boss refuses to make her a full time employee after saying he would. He extends her internship to three months because according to him, she’s a hard worker. Instead, he invites someone else who is rumored to be his daughter to become a full time employee. This enrages Ji won so much but she tries not to show it.
Seung Hoon tells Ki Joo that he won’t leave as he cannot bear to part from Ji won. Even if he turns into an evil spirit or disappears, it’s a risk he’s willing to take. (I understand your love but you’re dead man) He and Ji won meet at the office and she is frustrated that they can’t have a proper date because of her work. Seung Hoon texts her, telling her he can sense she’s upset. She doesn’t tell him the truth and just asks why he doesn’t do something to his boss. Seung Hoon describes how his boss treated him terribly to the point he couldn’t breathe. However, he can’t do such a thing due to his list. He says he wants to be with her even if he risks turning into an evil spirit and asks if that would be okay even though he’s a ghost. All of a sudden, Ji won asks to kiss him, touched by his fierceness of love. Seung Hoon directs her to his face and their kiss happens. (Finally…but it’s weird)
Ki Joo redecorates the studio and begins his work as a normal photographer. His first job is taking pictures of a pair of twin babies. To his surprise, ghosts no longer care about him. But unfortunately, that’s not the case for Han Bom whose fever seems to be getting worse. One of her client ghosts Ms Park keeps giving her a hard time at her work while trying to settle a will dispute between her two sons. She wants her to help get her money. This causes Han Bom to act strange and be sent out of the court room. Han Bom asks Ms Park why she keeps disturbing her and she replies it’s because she wants her to open the gate of the dead. Han Bom is confused by this.
Meanwhile, Han Bom and Ji won share their troubles over drinks at home. Han Bom is worried that she’s seeing too many ghosts these days while Ji won is angry with her boss. Han Bom gets serious and asks her what she would do with Seung Hoon because no matter what, he’s a dead person but Ji won simply says she likes Seung Hoon a lot and passes out. (It’s a bitter truth. But it’s still the truth. There’s no future because he’s a ghost)
Ki Joo is coming out of a pharmacy with drugs for Han Bom while wondering why she’s still suffering from a cold when all of a sudden, a blue barrier casts over everyone and time stands still. Ki Joo suddenly sees the Angel of death and he gets angry accusing the angel of death for cursing his generation but the angel of death responds that it wasn’t a curse. He had just done a favor to a desperate man who wanted to save his child. Besides, there was no way his family wouldn’t suffer the consequences for stealing an item from the netherworld. Ki Joo then asks why he lifted off the curse for him but the angel of death replies it was because he was desperate to save someone he loves but unfortunately, that person would have to pay the price.
Ki Joo realises he’s referring to Han Bom and in his rage, tries to punch the angel of death but he disappears. Time starts to roll again.
However, Han Bom goes to her room and opens her dresser. There, the photo studio is. She is surprised and enters inside, staring at the camera in awe. Ki Joo searches for her at her home. He finds the light emitting from her dresser and opens it, shocked to find the photo studio inside. He immediately meets Han Bom and she cries out to him, showing him the mark on her wrist. He asks her how long she has had it and she replies it has been since Nam ku disappears. It’s obvious that she’s going to die due to the curse being transferred to her but both of them try to stay positive.
Ki Joo stays with Han Bom till the following morning and she assures him that she’s fine. On her way to court, the ghost, Ms park comes urging her to help her get her money even dragging her hair till the extent everyone thinks she’s crazy. She finally agrees to help her.
Meanwhile, the new employee Ye na is very rude and disrespectful to Ji won, refusing to take instructions from her. This causes Seung Hoon to get so upset that he wipes away all of Yena’s files. Unfortunately, Yena has yet to carry out an order of 10,000 quantities from a ware house so she uses Ji won’s laptop to instead order only 1000 quantities, lying to Ji won she used her laptop because hers broke. However, due to this, Ji won is scolded by her Boss instead of Ye na who lies that it was Ji won who ordered the quantities and not her. He gets so angry and throws paper at her. (I’m throwing hands. This man is so damn annoying. I don’t know why the writers are leaving his punishment until the end of the drama. I can’t wait to see what happens to him. He needs to receive karma for all the terrible things he has done)
Han Bom helps Ms Park get the money owed to her by her employee. Ms Park begs her to help get new clothes with the money but Han Bom ends up getting arrested by Ms Park’s boss. He had found out Ms Park was dead and accused Han Bom of pretending to represent Ms Park so she can take her money. However, Han Bom tries to explain herself to the officer that Ms Park told her about the money but he doesn’t believe her.
Meanwhile, Ki Joo is searching for a way to save Han Bom. He recalls that his uncle was searching for a gateway to death so he looks through his uncle’s belongings and comes across an old paper where he wrote some dates. He researches the dates and discovers they coincides with a time for an event called the black moon. Just then, Ms Park comes to him to tell him about what happened to Han Bom. He goes to the station and gets her released on bail but scolds her for keeping things from him. However, Han Bom apologises for not telling him since she didn’t want to bother him.
That night on their way home, they are met by Han Bom’s lawyer friend who berates her for her lack of professionalism given she didn’t return to court to give the judges the key evidence for the client. Han Bom tries to explain herself but her friend leaves in anger.
Meanwhile, Ki Joo informs Seung Hoon he would be going to a temple near the tunnel which could probably have answers to his questions. He asks him to look after Han Bom until he returns. That night, Seung Hoon goes to see Ji won at work but she gets angry at him for breaking Ye na’s laptop, in turn causing trouble for her. She tells him to stay away from her in the meantime. (That’s unfair. He was only trying to help)
Meanwhile, Ki joo is at the forest near the tunnel where Han Bom’s parents died. He searches for the temple but sees an old buddhist priest who leads him to the temple. On getting there, Ki Joo explains himself to the old priest. The priest tells him that finding the gate of death has caused many to die near the tunnel which is the reason why it’s sealed off. He tells him that no living person has journeyed to the netherworld and returned alive but Ki Joo is willing to take that risk. The priest suddenly turns into a ghost signifying that he’s actually dead. (We don’t know if the ghost priest later agreed to help but it was downright creepy though.)
Ji won is trying to convince the warehouse manager to provide them the original 10000 quantities but the man refuses. Seung Hoon sees her in a hopeless state and walks with her. She feels guilty for being rude to Seung Hoon and decides to text him to apologise. But on seeing this, Seung Hoon decides to text her first. Just as he’s doing so, Ji won suddenly feels dizzy and collapses to the ground. Seung Hoon sees her but in a panic, his phone enters a ditch so he isn’t able to call for help.
Meanwhile, Ki Joo takes Han Bom on a date to the amusement park. They sit on a rollercoaster ride and talk. Ki Joo promises her to make everything right. He tells her he plans on going to yhr nether woIn the next scene, we see Ki Joo running in a forest while clutching the camera as he’s been chased by ghosts.
