The beginning starts with Sun Jae holding an umbrella over Im Sol’s head. She suddenly starts crying, making everyone around them think Sun Jae is the cause so he takes her out of the rain to a shelter. After an awkward moment, he asks her why she cries every time she sees him. Im Sol thinks of an excuse and says it’s because he reminds her of her dog (Goodness!!!)
Sun Jae is rightfully offended as she rattles on about how she got interested in Sun Jae by seeing his videos. The reason she told him she loved him that day was because he reminded her of her dog. Sun Jae nods and gives her back the watch she left with him. Feeling embarrassed, she runs away with his umbrella. Sol arrives at her classroom, excited to see her old classmates once again as she greets them enthusiastically. She is overjoyed to see her best friend Hyun ju who scolds her for skipping class to see her crush. However, Sol doesn’t even remember who that person is..Meanwhile, at her DVD store, Sol’s mother is having a hard time with a client who has yet to return a rented DVD. At class, Sol is called up by her teacher to solve a mathematical problem on the board but she feigns period cramps to get out of the situation. Instead of the infirmary, she heads to the boys school where she fawns over Sun Jae working out with other boys at the gym. She figures to save his life, she would have to figure out a way to stay by his side for the next fifteen years.
However, she gets distracted by the smell of cigarettes. She traces the smell to a back window where she sees a group of delinquents from another school surrounding a rather good looking boy. They intend on bullying him but the boy turns out to be a skilled fighter, beating them to a pulp. But Sol suddenly barges in, landing on one of the fallen boys. She scolds them for smoking and being a hindrance to the swimming team. When one of them confronts her, she tells him to have respect for a woman older than him. This causes the boys to get amused. All of a sudden, another group of boys surrounded them. Sensing danger, the stranger grabs her hand and runs off with her.
They manage to hide from the boys. When they are safe, they come out from hiding. The boy grabs the cigarette she had seized attempting to smoke but she stops him. On a closer look, she quickly recognizes him as Tae Sung, her first crush from a music band. She gets very excited as she cannot believe he was a delinquent as she had chased after him so much in the past. She takes back the cigarette and warns him to stop smoking. To her surprise, Tae Sung leaves her with the cigarette just as a teacher comes up. She’s mistaken for smoking and punished.
The teacher makes her kneel in public and to her embarrassment, Tae Sung sees her. He thought she smokes and despite her denying it, he doesn’t believe her. Instead, before he leaves, he tells her that the cameras aren’t working and she can leave anytime.
As she’s returning back to her school, she runs into Tae Sung who tells her he is here to collect his lighter but Sol responds that she already threw it away. She expresses her disappointment at him for setting her up with the cigarettes but Tae Sung replies that he didn’t know she wouldn’t run away. He claims that she did all that to get his attention and Sol is in disbelief, unable to understand how she once liked Tae Sung. Suddenly, the voice of a girl calling Tae Sung’s name comes up and he hurries away to avoid her. The girl appears with her female henchmen and threatens Sol to stay away from Tae Sung. She complies, to avoid getting hurt.
Sol meets up with Hyun ju at a cafeteria and asks her advice on how to get close to a guy. Hyun ju tells her what she knows, advising her not to come on too strong. She then asks if she’s doing this because of her crush Tae Sung reminding her that she had given him a love letter just the previous day. Hyun ju is shocked when she returns to her room and discovers it’s true. She’s filled with embarrassment. Her older brother Geum who is practicing acting like a Buddhist monk suddenly enters and grabs the letter, teasing her with it. She grabs it from him and sends him away.
Sol is then faced with how to bridge the gap between her and Sun jae which keeps growing. She decides to send him a friend request but he immediately rejects it. Feeling depressed the next morning, she heads to school with his umbrella and notices with a smile when Sun Jae helps a lame girl cross the street. He notices her but doesn’t regard her as he boards the bus. Sol quickly follows as well. She tries to make small talk with him but he doesn’t seem interested. The bus makes an abrupt stop upon reaching their destination. Sol nearly falls off but Sun Jae grabs her and tells her to get off with him. However, the crowd is much and in the process of leaving, Sun Jae’s umbrella falls and while trying to get it, the bus takes off. Sol is unable to get out and is alarmed but to her amazement, Sun Jae starts chasing after the bus, causing all the girls to squeal excitedly. He manages to get the driver to stop the bus and Sol gets out.
She’s worried that he did something this risky but Sun Jae replies that it’s because he wanted to get back his umbrella. (Yeah right) She asks him why he refused her friend request. Could it be because she smokes? Sun Jae asks her if his rejection makes her regret smoking but Sol insists she doesn’t smoke, offering him to smell her fingers for himself. When he declines, she suddenly jabs two of her fingers into his nostrils (I’d sink into the ground if that were me)

Sun Jae leaves and Sol is humiliated by her actions. Sun Jae’s friend suddenly meets with him and asks if he and Sol have something going on. Sun Jae avidly denies it. His friend then mentions that Sol has a crush on someone else, Tae Sung who is the bassist in his music group. Sun Jae gets clearly uncomfortable after hearing this.
Sol is entering the school when she sees a notice about an upcoming swimming competition and she recalls it’s the same competition that accelerated Sun Jae’s injury and made him quit swimming. Sol believes that if she can stop Sun jae’s swimming career from ending, perharps he wouldn’t become a singer and end up committing suicide in the future.
Sol immediately finds Sun Jae and tries to get him to back out from the competition but each time she wants to tell him what could befall him in the future, time stops still and he isn’t able to hear what she really wants to say. Sol figures this is a side effect of going back in time and tests it out in her classroom by shouting Obama would become America’s president. But when she does, time stands still.
While swimming, Sun Jae is praised by their coach but his rival Hyung gu is scolded for not performing well. Hyung gu later confronts Sun Jae warning him not to overdo himself or risk escalating his arm injury when he had just had a surgery on it. But Sun Jae can sense that he is scared that if he makes a comeback, he would win all the medals again. Hyung gu gets annoyed by him.
Sol tries once more to convince Sun Jae not to swim during the competition, knowing she’s crossing the line. However, Sun Jae doesn’t still give her the time of day.
Meanwhile Tae Sung is at the police station after beating up some other students. His father who is a police officer arrives to bail him out but Tae Sung’s attitude towards him is quite cold.
Sol disguises herself as an old Buddhist monk covering her face with a hat to avoid recognition as she meets Sun Jae and tries to get him not to participate in the swimming competition, telling him not to go anywhere near water or he would experience a tragedy. But when she senses Sun Jae isn’t buying the act, she goes hard by telling him there’s an unmarried ghost maid who died in the water keeps following him, wanting him to be her husband. Sun jae panics and that seems to get to him.
Next, we see Sol walking under a tunnel having successfully convinced Sun Jae. However, the wind happens to sweep away the money Sun Jae had given her. It lands on Tae Sung who is seated a few meters away. He grabs the money and begins to tease her with it, making Sol irritated. She soon notices the scars in his face and asks if he got into a fight. She remembers Hyun ju telling her in the future how Tae Sung’s life went downhill after he got expelled for fighting in highschool. She advises Tae Sung to turn his life around so his parents don’t worry. Tae Sung doesn’t think his parents care about him. Sol replies that she used to think like that but realized later she was wrong. Tae Sung resumes teasing her again with the money but it falls into a pool of water. Sol is disappointed and Tae Sung apologizes to her but they end up running into Sun Jae who realizes that Sol had deceived him by pretending to be a monk. He even gets annoyed knowing she’s with Tae Sung who he remembers is her crush. He enters his house ignoring Sol’s please.
But that’s when Sol realizes that Sun Jae is their new neighbor. She leaves Tae Sung to confirm from her mother at her shop asking her if a new family had moved in and her mother confirms it. Sol is in disbelief that she lives so close to Sun Jae and never knew.

Meanwhile, Sun Jae is burdened by Sol’s warnings not to attend the competition. He’s so restless that he leaves home that night and goes to the swimming pool. Sol sees him when he goes. After practicing, he showers but Sol’s warnings about the old maid following him scares him.
However, unaware of him, his rival Hyung gu wants to play a terrible prank on him by stealing his underwear. But Sol catches him before he can do anything. The two have a tug of war with Sun Jae’s shorts until Hyung gu gives up and runs away. Sol quickly hides inside a large container when she notices Sun Jae approaching.
After changing, Sun Jae dumps his towel into the large container but jumps when he notices a movement inside. Sol falls out of the container ashamed as she tries to hide her identity by covering her head with a towel. She runs away but Sun Jae catches up to her. However, in the process of tugging the towel off her hair, they both fall into the pool. That’s when her identity is exposed and Sun Jae loses his temper seeing her shorts in her hands. He shouts at her, accusing her of stealing his shorts, frustrated that she is going to give an excuse that a ghost stole it. He yells that he can’t seem to understand her but Sol pleads that he believes her but Sun Jae is upset saying that she’s behaving as if he’s going to die or something. Sol tells him he would die in the future and that’s why she’s trying to protect him. But of course, he doesn’t hear any of that because time stands still. Sun Jae is so angry that he leaves Sol in the pool.
When he gets home, he suddenly gets a call from a friend asking him if he’s alright because Hyung gu wanted to play a prank on him by stealing his shorts that night. Sun Jae realizes he had misunderstood Sol. It suddenly starts raining and he hurries back to find her.

Meanwhile, Sol is walking in the rain thinking about Sun Jae’s harsh words, acknowledging that he’s right, she’s indeed odd. However, she’s about to cross the street but suffers a panic attack in the middle of the road. She’s almost hit by a car when Sun Jae appears and pulls her away, hugging her tightly as she collapses against his chest.
We are given a flashback. It turns out that Sun Jae had a crush on Sol long before she knew him. He was returning a package that mistakenly got sent to his house when he saw her for the first time running towards him in the rain. She mistook him for the delivery man and gave him her umbrella to protect him from the rain.
She even gave him white candy which surprisingly is Sun jae’s favorite in the future. Ever since then, he had watched her. He even secretly let her lay on his injured arm while she was watching her mother’s shop and had bought a video under his father’s name out of awkwardness when she woke up and saw him.(He was the one who bought that DVD not his father) When she suddenly noticed him, he thought he was dreaming.
He had wanted to accept Sol’s friend request when his father suddenly entered his room and caused to mistakenly press the decline button. He had always been by her side.

The flashback ends and we are taken to the present where Sun Jae dies. Inside Sun Jae’s hotel room, a picture of Sol and Sun Jae suddenly appears on the table.
The episode is very interesting. I loved it but what I don’t get is how Sol could easily forget her first crush. Yeah, you like some other guy but at least, you should remember the person’s face. Didn’t seem too realistic there. She seems to be the type to easily forget faces judging by how she had met Sun Jae twice but never recognized him. (I mean how could she forget such a handsome face)
