Lovely Runner Episode 12 Recap

Everything seems to be going well with our couple. Sol is happy that Sun jae still gets to continue his music career after she tells him Mr Kim scouted the group. Tae Seong’s father is out of danger much to Tae Seong’s relief although he tries not to show it. However, everything comes tumbling down after Sol learns that Kim Young soo had escaped. She tells Tae Seong’s father to hide at his place on May 10th because that’s when he’ll be sure to capture him.

Meanwhile, Sun jae is concerned over what Sol and her safety so when she invites him to her house, he scrutinizes everywhere to ensure she is well protected but they unknowingly run into Geum and Hyun joo who are trying to hide their new relationship. Of course, this doesn’t sit well with Sol who is highly against them being together. After an intense argument, with Sol yelling out her disapproval, Sun jae takes her to a restaurant. She expresses her inability of not been able to seperate her best friend and her brother. It’s as if they are meant to be.

Sun jae tells her there is nothing she can do to change a person’s future especially since it’s their choice. They are worried since they haven’t been able to reach In hyuk for days so they could sign the contract with Mr Kim. They go to his home and find Tae seong there who tells them In hyuk put his house up for rent and left for his home town after getting humilated by a mocking video of his audition. Sun jae and Tae seong have no idea where his house is but Sol does since she was a member of their fan club even in the early days.

They go there in Sun jae’s expensive imported car and find In hyuk in a beach seemingly looking like he’s about to commit suicide by jumping into an ocean but actually, he only wants to get his floater. Tae Seong’s car sinks into the ocean and he gets momentarily saddened by this. However, his depressed feelings slowly fades away and he enjoys the island along with the others except that In hyuk gets irritated with Sun jae and Sol for constantly flirting in front of him.

After catching In hyuk’s run away goat, the four enjoy themselves in the ocean and finally have a heart to heart talk with each other. Sun jae tells In hyuk that although he has no idea what it means to be a singer and is scared, he is sure he would be able to do well because of him and that but he would love to enjoy his shining youthful days with In hyuk by his side. In hyuk is impressed by his sweet talk. while Tae Seong confesses to Sol that he really did like her and only realised it when they broke up. Sol is surprised to hear this but life must move on.

Sol discovers her phone is missing and Sun jae offers to search around with her but for some reason, Sol can sense danger around her. Sun jae finds her phone in the forest but when she had wandered off for a bit, he tells her not to be too far away. He had overheard her talking to Tae Seong’s father that she might have an accident on May 10th so he’s been cautious.

When they arrive home, Sun jae recives a text from In hyuk asking him to join him and Sun jae for night fishing but he decides to stay with Sol much to Tae Seong’s displeasure as he’s forced to go on a boat with In hyuk and his father. Meanwhile, being alone in the house causes sexual tension to rise between Sun jae and Sol. Their attempts to stay away from each other doesn’t work and they end up spending their first night together.

The next morning, they are all set to leave with In hyuk back to Seol butTae Seong regrets leaving his car Sunny behind. After thanking In hyuk’s parents, they set off. On the train back home, the past Sol suddenly takes over and she seems confused to be with Sun jae. She leaves the train causing Sun jae to be consumed with tears.

However, in reality, Sol is still herself. She only pretended in other to be away from Sun jae because she suddenly got memories of herself getting pursued by Young soo. Just as she’s looking at the train driving away, Young soo gets down from the train that had just arrives, unknowingly passing her by.
