Moon Yeong tells Shin-hwa she knows Joo Yeong would use all the dirty work she did for her as leverage. So she plans on turning herself in knowing it may cost her career. Shin Hwa wonders why Joo Yeong seems to be targeting her but Moon Yeong has no idea why. Seong Jae and Joo Yeong are interrogated separately by Lieutenant Baek and Shin Hwa respectively but unfortunately, they can’t get anything from them.

Choi Moo Won is taken away from Joo Yeong’s house and she shockingly hires Moon Yeong as her lawyer. She asks Joo Yeong why she’s after her but she simply replies that she must be punished for a crime she committed. Meanwhile, Mr Cha yells at Seung Jae for foolishly trying to travel abroad and for trusting Joo Yeong but Seung Jae knows he only cares about his ambitions, accusing him of creating the foundation so that he could get money from Geumshin to fund his election campaign but now, he’s desperate because everything is falling apart. He says the eighty billion won is his reward for cleaning up all of Geumshin’s messes.

Mr Cha and Seong Jae are shocked when they run into Moon Yeong and Joo Yeong together. Joo Yeong’s betrayal has become obvious as it is clear she’s only looking out for herself.

But suddenly, Shin Hwa tells Moon Yeong at her office that Chairman Moo Won’s son has dropped the case against Joo Yeong which means both she and Seong Jae are free. The two women can’t seem to understand why he did this. Do Jin Woo who has found out feels annoyed by the lack of justice and when they are in private, he tells Moon Yeong he would take matters into his own hands since the law has refused to serve justice.

Choi Woo Shik, the current CEO of Geumshin and Chairman Moo Won’s son seems to be working with Joo Yeong. While they are having dinner, she calls him her family but he warns her sternly against saying that, reminding her that she’s nothing more than his slave and that she shouldn’t have gone far by stealing his money. (Wow. This is a lot deeper than we thought. We are just scratching the surface when it comes to the actual villains in this story)

Chairman Moo Won is given back to Joo Yeong and she takes him to see the oceans reminiscing about how his children never cared to visit him for the two years they’ve been living together. She returns home shocked to see Seong Jae already waiting for her. In private, he gets physical, demanding to know what deal she made with Choi Woo Shik to make him spare her and not even ask for his money back. Joo Yeong refuses to answer and

Seong Jae gets violent with her. Joo Yeong notices Bom by the window of the house and opens the curtain wide so she can see them and she does.

Seong Jae hides out of embarrassment and Joo Yeong laughs that he still cares what his daughter thinks of him. Bom tells Moon Yeong she saw her father with Joo Yeong and she storms to her house confronting her and Seong Jae for carelessly exposing their affair to his daughter. He tries to deny it and just then, Do Jin Woo appears to defend Moon Yeong leading Seong Jae to think she’s just like him, having an affair as well but Moon Yeong ignores him leaving with Do Jin Woo while Joo Yeong whispers the drama ended boringly and shuts the door on him.

Shin Hwa meets with Do Jin Woo and Moon Yeong at her house, appalled by Seong Jae’s behavior but Moon Yeong suggests that this was Joo Yeong’s doing because she only wants to hurt her. Everything she has done till now wasn’t for money or to have an affair, it’s something deeper.

Seong Jae’s mother has been waiting for him outside in her car. She tells him she broached the subject of letting Bom travel abroad to Moon Yeong and got a harsh response. She asks about his travel plans but Seong Jae says he has to find out first what Woo Shik is planning before he leaves. She takes him home and as usual, the tension between father and son is high. Mr Cha insists on running for election so Seong Jae proposes to threaten Choi Woo Shik by revealing to the public he had locked away his father suffering from dementia in exchange for the eighty billion won.

But Cha Woo Shik is already a step ahead of them as he and Joo Yeon already plan to kill his father. That morning, Moon Yeong notices some suspicious activity going on in Joo Yeong’s house after she leaves to attend a meeting. Before then, Chairman Choi moo won had given Joo Yeong a heartfelt speech, telling her to finally rest, get married one day and he happy. This moves her to tears but she still leaves despite her regret for what is about the happen. The chairman is injected with a poisonous drug by a man later identified as her father Ha jae pil. Seong Jae and Do Jin woo happened to witness what happened. Seong Jae tried to save the chairman to no avail and he ends up dying.

Later, Joo Yeong comes to Moon Yeong asking her to become her father’s lawyer. If she does, she would understand why she keeps targeting her. Moon Yeong agrees and goes to see the man in prison but when they come face to face, she’s shocked to discover that Ha jae pil is none other than her own father. Joo Yeong sees this unusual reunion and smiles to herself, happy that she has gotten what she wanted.
