Good Partner Episode 10 Recap

The 10th episode starts with Jae-hui and Eun-kyung sharing breakfast. Jae-hui conveys her wish to not see her father during the weekend, and Eun-kyung, accepting her decision, agrees.

In the law firm, Yu-ri’s latest client happens to be a friend of Eun ho’s mother. In the consultation, the client discloses her desire to end her marriage as she is now in her 60s and desires to live independently. A flashback reveals how the client spent her whole life dedicated to caring for her family. Her husband laughed off her wish to write a book as a silly idea. Yu-ri suggests to her that separating is not the sole option for being self-sufficient, yet the client stays determined. Later, during a discussion with Eun-ho, she admits that she is being careful because she values the importance of marriage. But Eun-ho argues that even though marriage is considered sacred, it often leads to one person pursuing their dreams while the other neglects their own needs.

Eun-kyung meets with Jae-hui, who expresses her desire for a fast resolution in the divorce case, despite Yu-ri’s caution about the lengthy process. Noticing the impact the case is having on Jae-hui, Eun-kyung arranges a meeting with Kim Ji-sang to communicate Jae-hui’s desires. Additionally, she updates Eun-kyung.

Yu-ri later encounters Choi Sa-ra. Following Sara’s apology to Eunkyung, Yuri decided to drop the lawsuit against her.

At the same time, Ji-sang and Eun-kyung talk to the family investigator, who tells them that Jae-hui wants to stay with her mom. Ji-sang is shocked by this revelation and demands to see Jae-hui. Yet, Eun-kyung attempts to help him understand the negative impact their quarrel is having on their daughter.

Yu-ri’s client and her family join Eun-kyung for a shared meeting following the client’s agreement. Despite her family’s objections, including her egocentric children and her husband’s lack of understanding, the client ultimately decides to voice her desire for a divorce. She informs them that they have all disregarded her desires and requirements, viewing her as a servant. Upset with her family’s actions, she reaffirms her wish to live for her own self.

In another location, Ji-sang goes back to his apartment and discovers Choi Sa-ra inside. They are in disagreement, with Sa-ra desiring to cohabit while Ji-sang does not. While facing a conflict, Sa-ra experiences a miscarriage. Even though the baby is brought to the hospital, it is too late and cannot be saved. They bid farewell to each other at the hospital.

The following day, Ji-sang goes to see Jae-hui and brings her to his home, where he says sorry to her. Nonetheless, Jae-hui continues to be resolute and upset. She informs him about his year-long deception with Sa-ra, which he kept secret from her and her mother. Currently, she desires for him to face consequences, with the most severe consequence being to reside separately from her. She pleads with him to embrace his consequences and finalize the matter so that she and Eun-kyung can move forward with a fresh start.

In another location, Yu-ri’s client and her husband decide to separate and live in different places for a period of two years. They intend to focus on improving their relationship, but if she still desires a divorce afterward, her husband will agree. He has come to the realization of how crucial it is to be a more supportive spouse to his wife.

In the upcoming negotiations, Ji-sang gives custody of Jae-hui to Eun-kyung, and they reach a resolution for her benefit. As they sign the final divorce papers, Ji-sang apologizes to Eun-kyung, who encourages them to be good parents to Jae-hui. Choi Sa-ra’s marriage comes to an end, prompting her to leave the city and go back to her hometown.

In the evening, Jae-hui and Eun-kyung take down Ji-sang’s pictures from their home. Once Jae-hui goes to sleep, Eun-kyung’s coworkers organize a celebration for her divorce. On their way back, Eun-kyung thanks Yu-ri for her outstanding work as a divorce lawyer. Yu-ri is thrilled by the compliments she received from her mentor. At the conclusion of the episode, the two coworkers appear to be more akin to best buddies. During the last moment, the CEO of the firm requests Woo-jin to dismiss Eun-kyung.

It’s really sad. Just when we thought one problem was over, another just rose out from the ashes. Thanks for reading this recap.
