Dreaming Of A Freaking Fairytale Episode 4 Recap

The fourth episode starts with the narrator questioning Jae-rim’s choice between the wealthy spoiled youngster and a fit and accomplished gentleman. Well, she will choose the person who is kind to her.

Currently, the new client, Baek Do-hong, is tall, huge, and has well-defined abdominal muscles. He notices that her Wish note indicates she is attracted to big men and playfully teases her for this. Immediately, she offers an apology, but as she retrieves the note from his person, a button from his shirt falls off. Surprisingly, Do hong pulls out a sewing kit and repairs the button by sewing it back on. Impressed, Jae-rim feels like she has found the perfect guy of her dreams.

Secretary Heo Young-bae was expected to give him a tour, but Do-hong requests Jae-rim instead, much to Cha-min’s annoyance. While conversing, Jae-rim discovers that Do-hong is merely 30 years old and the youngest filmmaker to win an award. He mentions the challenge of gaining entry to the club, as it is invitation-only, prompting Jae rim to take action to ensure his access.

She bursts into the office where Cha-min and Dan-a are arguing as they usually do. Jae-rim believes that Do-hong has the potential to be her perfect partner, and she will continue to cry and annoy Cha-min until he allows him in. Dan-a also concurs that it’s a good proposal because it will push Jae-rim to marry and quit. Despite his unhappiness, Cha-min agrees.

Jae rim makes an effort to create a romantic situation while guiding Do hong outside, hoping to ultimately be held in his embrace, but Cha-min joins them on the outing. Attempting to make Jae rim stop leaning towards him, he tells her she smells bad. She is pushed by him directly into Do-hong’s embrace who compliments her for her sweet smelling scent. He tidies up her hair, hands her a lollipop, and assures her he will get her more items. Then he leaves.

Cha-min mocks her and suggests she should tie her hair, but as she follows his advice, he is taken aback by how captivating she appears just by doing so.

Cha min then attempts to prevent her from going to Do-hong’s welcome party by suggesting she should organize an exhibition with Artist D’s artwork starting from zero.

Next, he goes to his Hapkido lesson and channels his anger towards his instructor by imagining him as Do-hong.

At the same time, Jae-rim impresses the employees and even Artist D enough to make all the paintings for the show. Yet, they are all curious about how Jae-rim was able to secure Do-hong’s membership given Cha-min’s selective nature when it comes to customers. However, Cha min is always grumpy and holds onto his umbrella wherever he goes.

Jae rim believes that the umbrella he is holding has been handed down through generations and is perceived as fortunate.

Jae-rim enthusiastically tells the doll about her day. Hwa-jin notices and teases her, which escalates into a fight when Jae-rim witnesses her eating the lollipop that Do-hong had gifted her.

Su-jin adds to her issues by turning down Dr. Koo. He coerces Jae-rim to assist him or pay back the thousand dollars he gave so Jae rim discloses that the key to winning her sister’s affection is being kind to their stepmother, who Su Jin treasures.

Upon returning to work, Jae-rim realizes that Cha-min is nowhere to be found and complains about him being negligent and harsh. Simultaneously, Cha min is in a deserted house and feeling upset with her. Both of them hope that she will soon quit. Nonetheless, upon spotting a picture, Cha min recognizes the striking resemblance between the woman in the photo and Jae rim. He believes it’s what attracts him to Jae-rim yet also repels him at the same time.

Meanwhile Jae-rim, while fixing the lightbulb in preparation for the party, finds Do hong with her. He helps descends the ladder by carrying her in his arms and Jae rim feels he is the one for her. Her joyous mood is suddenly ruined when Artist D withdraws due to experiencing a creative block. She ponders whether Cha-min intentionally suggested an unreliable artist. However, with just one open space left, she rapidly creates a painting by herself.

In the meantime, Cha-min has a steamy dream about Jae-rim and admits he despises her but also loathes the thought of her being with Do-hong. She suggests that he should simply acknowledge his feelings for her. Waking up to realize it was only a dream leaves him feeling let down.

On the day of the event, he finds the exhibit impressive and gives her permission to go to the party. He continues to ponder whether it is too late for them and sincerely wishes for her to depart with Do-hong because he won’t be able to control himself if she remains.

The party starts and Jae-rim arrives in a lovely yellow dress. Cha min is stunned by her appearance, but his smile fades as she walks towards Do-hong. Dan-a introduces a wealthy heiress, Ri-na, to Do-hong, and they enjoy themselves. Ri-na taunts Jae-rim after figuring out her motives for getting Do-hong the membership.

She tells her she would employ her as her housekeeper if she’s in dire need of money and orders her to fetch a drink for her. Jae-rim is fine with it and brings her some mint chocolate. Nevertheless, Ri-na rejects it due to her distaste for the flavor. Jae-rim tumbles and brings Ri-na down with her. Both of them get chocolate spilled on them, but Do-hong takes Ri-na’s hand, offers her his handkerchief, and reassures her that Jae-rim will take care of the mess as it was accidental.

Jae-rim is injured and declines to hold her hand when he tries to reach for it. Cha-min intervenes and replaces Do Hong’s hand with his own after slapping it away. He advises her to avoid making errors, but he does enjoy mint chocolate. All of them are convinced that he has recently admitted his feelings to Jae-rim. Everyone is surprised when all of a sudden, Dan-a steps up and slaps him.

It’s great how this series can turn from funny to serious. It’s very interesting and I just know that once these two realize their love, it would become something else. They are going to kill us with cuteness.
