Meanwhile, the police hunt for Park Joon-tae, Ha-bin’s missing teacher, who has gone off the grid. Officer Eo-jin, suspicious of Tae-su and Ha-bin’s involvement in recent crimes, starts piecing together clues, including CCTV footage showing Joon-tae leaving in a mysterious outfit.
A confrontation between Yeong-min and Joon-tae nearly results in murder, but police intervention saves Joon-tae. Tae-su intercepts Yeong-min during his escape, violently questioning him about Su-hyeon’s murder. Despite threatening him, Tae-su leaves Yeong-min with a warning to stay hidden, suggesting that Ha-bin’s involvement in the case must remain concealed.
Back at the police station, Joon-tae is questioned but evades providing key details about his connection to Yeong-min. However, when asked about Ha-bin and Su-hyeon, he admits they were close friends, adding that he had withheld this to protect Ha-bin, who had already suffered the trauma of her mother’s death.
The episode concludes with a tense father-daughter exchange. Ha-bin confronts Tae-su, accusing him of meeting Ji-su on the day she died. In a haunting flashback, Tae-su recalls telling Ji-su to go ahead if she truly wanted to die, leaving viewers with questions about his potential role in her tragic fate. In Doubt Episode 6, Jang Ha-bin confronts her father, Jang Tae-su, about his final encounter with her mother, Ji-su, on the day of her death. Tae-su then directs the police to gather evidence against Choi Yeong-min, ultimately leading them to Yeong-min’s hideout, where they discover a bloodstained room and detain his gang.
Meanwhile, Ha-bin observes the police operation, only to realize she’s being followed by a mysterious man, who reveals himself as Song Min-a’s estranged father. He accuses Ha-bin of being involved with Yeong-min and questions why Tae-su released him. The revelation that Tae-su freed Yeong-min shocks Ha-bin, and she later confronts her father for answers.
As Tae-su investigates further, he suspects a hidden connection between Sung-hee and Yeong-min, while the gang members at the police station reveal new details. Officer Gu grows suspicious of Tae-su’s harsh interrogation tactics and his fixation on Eun-jin, who confesses that Sung-hee was romantically involved with Joon-tae and Yeong-min.
The plot thickens when Song Min-a’s father tracks down Yeong-min, accusing him of murdering his daughter, to which Yeong-min shockingly claims Ha-bin is responsible. Tae-su presses on with his inquiries, and while investigating Sung-hee, Officer Gu’s emotional investment in the case raises Eo-jin’s suspicions, as he appears connected to a past personal tragedy.
In a tense turn of events, Tae-su receives an anonymous message from Ha-bin, questioning why he released Yeong-min. Haunted by memories, Tae-su reflects on a traumatic night with Ji-su, who blamed Ha-bin for a family tragedy and wanted to kill her by nearly poisoning her. Ji-su had insisted he keep this secret, complicating Tae-su’s decision to free Yeong-min and protect Ji-su’s legacy. Ha-bin, still suspicious, is lured to Yeong-min’s hideout by a man posing as Song Min-a’s father, only to find herself ensnared in Yeong-min’s web of deception.
As Tae-su closes in, he finds Yeong-min’s lifeless body and Ha-bin standing nearby, her hands covered in blood, leaving audiences on edge as Episode 6 conclude
