In Episode 5, we revisit Yoon-bok’s apartment where a lady is standing, prepared to move in and share a home with him. He apologises to Hong do and leaves to speak with the woman.
Yoon-bok tries to get rid of his unwanted guest from inside, but she stays despite his warning that he will not forgive her. Yet, in a picture she owns, a distinct woman is visibly unwell. Unfortunately, Yoon-bok has already left.
When Hong-do is home, she is always thinking about Yoon-bok and asks her brother about Yoon-bok’s ex-girlfriend. When talking about Yoon-bok, Hong-hak accidentally reveals that he doesn’t have a job and quickly finds a reason to leave before Hong do can scold him.
Hong-do conveys Shin Soo Geun’s rejection of Camille’s plea to her and she doesn’t take it well at all.
Kim Chil-bok is nowhere to be found at the station. Yoon-ah reaches out to her mom in the village to ask about any possible shady behaviors.
While heading home, Hong-do meets Yoon-bok, who informs him about the commotion stirred up by his grandfather’s message. When she inquires about him, he keeps silent about his secret visitor so they both leave for home.
Upon arrival at the building, the unknown woman is seen wearing an apron as Yoon-bok quickly leaves, leaving Hong-do feeling devastated as she goes upstairs to brood. Indoors, Yoon-bok attempts to force her to leave, yet the woman pleads with him, reminding him that he’s her sole support at the moment. Remembering his childhood, he finally gives in – at least for the time being.
Just like Hong-do looks for fruit to take to Yoon-bok to spy on him, Hong-hak interrupts her search and hints that he might have already eaten what she was looking for. He mischievously requests chicken and she agrees, thinking it’s a feasible option to take to Yoon-bok.
Looking out the window, she sees the woman and lets Hong-hak get the chicken from her, picturing Yoon-bok in a romantic hug with her. Anxious, she hurries back to her house.
Camille personally goes to the village, dressed as a foreigner and speaking in French. She has a disagreement with Leader Shin during their meeting about her request. Upon the arrival of the Cultural Administrator, he is requested to escort Camille elsewhere.
Hong-do feels very upset over the strange woman, so she turns to the internet to research her symptoms and learns she might have a heart arrhythmia. She goes up to Yoon-bok’s recently arrived friend to inquire about her name, but discovers that the woman has actually moved in with him, causing her to feel even more upset.
Hong-hak presents a new story idea to his editor, but the editor explains that management is hesitant to work with him again due to negative feedback. Yoon-ah hears the conversation and goes up to him outside, suggesting they go for a drink together. She encourages him to give it another go by sharing her own experiences with Young Master Yoon-bok.
Jun-ho relieves his stress at an indoor driving range, where he encounters a guest working there, who happens to be Yoon-bok’s acquaintance, the woman living with him and he quickly recognizes her. Referring to her as ‘My Lady,’ he is taken aback to find her working as a waitress as she commends him on his flourishing business. She desires to be employed by him, her former servant, providing her contact information in case he needs a part-time worker.
Jun-ho goes back to the house to have a drink, reminiscing about their chat and upbringing in the village. In that place, he was blamed for making her sick, his mother intervened to stop Leader Shin from beating him.
The woman is actually a detective, Detective Shin. She updates her boss, the detective collaborating with Yoon-bok. However, she is not interested in her brother discovering that she is working undercover. She is attempting to lure Jun-ho to see what is going on.
In the village, Yoon-bok follows the suspicious Chil-bok (Phony), only to discover that he has been crafting a present for Yeojudaek, the person who has been looking after Yoon-bok in the village.
At the corner store, Shin Yi-bok identifies herself as Yoon-bok’s sister to Hong-do. All of a sudden Hong-do feels a sense of relief and asks Yi-bok to join her for a drink. They discover numerous similarities and choose to become friends. Yi-bok observes that Yoon-bok leans on Hong-do and appears less melancholic in her presence.
At the same time, Yoon-bok takes a break for ice cream, thinking about Hong-do. However, as they both arrive at her door simultaneously, she hits him on the head and then stumbles, lying face-to-face.
