After Tae jin leaves, Jae kyung is in a pretty bad shape. Yoon jin warns him not to overtake the anti addiction medicine. She had actually come to see the doctor who conducted Jun seo’s daughter’s surgery and urges Jae kyung to rest at home, doubting that Yun ho would show up at the hospital.
At the hide out, Tae jin is confronted by Chi hyeon for his affair with Jun seo. He admits it, leading the other two to be angry with him, thinking he may have killed Jun seo to hide his guilt but in that moment, Yun ho calls Jung su asking for his help but unknown to him, Jung su puts the call on loudspeaker so that the others can hear him bad mouthing them, accusing both Chi yeon and Tae jin of working together. He threatens to expose Jung su if he doesn’t help him. After the call, Tae jin makes the other two turn their backs on Yun ho by making them understand that he wants them to turn on each other by using their weakness. They should deal with him first before anything else. Jae kyung then orders Chi hyeon to kill Yun ho.
The next morning, Yun ho anxiously awaits his rescue car deep in the woods. Unsurprisingly, he ends up chloroformed by Chi hyeon, regaining consciousness next to a freshly-dug grave. Still, Chi hyeon’s conscience halts him in his tracks. Telling Yun ho to never show his face around them again, Chi hyeon spares his life. However, as Chi hyeon leaves, Yun ho shouts their high school student creed — and the next thing we see is Chi hyeon tossing Yun ho’s bloody sneaker aside but he is unaware that a passerby witnessed the murder.
Meanwhile, Kim Chang Soo takes a leave of absence due to a sprained wrist. He asks after Jae kyung who has been absent the entire day and isn’t picking up his calls. Meanwhile, Jae kyung is at his apartment almost on the verge of death due to the drug effects. Yoon jin panics after seeing his terrible state. Severe withdrawal symptoms had him incapacitated to the point Yoon-jin is left with no choice but to feed him one yellow pill.
Meanwhile, Sang eui claims he’s Tae-jin, convincing Jin-wook with anecdotes only Tae-jin would know. Afterwards, Sang-eui sends a note with a location and time alongside Jae-kyung’s yellow pill delivery, informing Jae kyung of the port Jin-wook will be escaping from in two days’ time.
Elsewhere, Jae-kyung and Yoon-jin tail Sang-eui to a restaurant, where they realize he’s meeting Tae-jin. Thanks to Yoon-jin’s handy listening device, they overhear Tae-jin catching Yun ho recording their conversation yet again. Surprisingly, Tae-jin doesn’t press the issue beyond a stern warning, and even more unexpectedly, Sang-eui passes Jin-wook’s USB to him.
After the meal, Jae-kyung and Yoon-jin pile into Sang-eui’s car to interrogate him about the yellow pill scheme. Instead of answering, Sang-eui drives them both to the meth lab within the freezer storage. Nonchalantly, Sang-eui admits he’s the one who got Jae-kyung hooked on the drug — simply because he dislikes him. Jae Kyung is enraged and would have pummeled him if it weren’t for Yoon Jin’s interference.
Bitterly, Sang-eui recounts how Jun seo used to be his one and only friend, until Jun seo grew closer to the Audiophile club and drifted apart from him. He is angry that Jae-kyung refused to forgive Jun-seo, turning him away for over a decade. Sang-eui simply couldn’t comprehend why Jun-seo left the insurance money to Jae-kyung and Yoon-jin, when he’d been the only one who stayed devoted to Jun-seo all these years.
Chairman Woo is extremely proud of Jong su especially after winning the mayor over concerning the pilo dong project. He believes others like Tae jin are just meant to be used for his son’s sake. He acknowledges Jong su has felt inferior all these while and apologises for it. He is ready to leave the chairmanship to him but surprisingly is aware of Jong su’s addiction. He promises to keep the seat until Jong su is clean. Jong su promises to do that for his sake.

Of course, Sang-eui’s plan had been far from perfect. Things had gone awry when Jae-kyung failed to capture Jin-wook and trace the drug distribution chain, causing the situation to spiral out of control. Still, Sang-eui begs them to hold off on arresting him so he can trip Tae-jin up and avenge Jun seo. He’s convinced Tae-jin is Jun seo’s murderer, and he needs to secure decisive evidence that will put Tae-jin behind bars.
Meanwhile, Tae Jin is unhappy with his promotion. He meets with the chairman revealing that he never wanted to be a prosecutor but a business man and that he did everything he wanted. His true intention is to be part of the company and grow it but Chairman Won refuses, reminding him that he used to be a drug dealer. Someone like him can’t lead the company. Tae jin admits he did that to get investment money but exposes Chairman Won as well for his illegal business deals, buying other comopanies for cheap which caused eight people to die by suicide. Chairman Won just remarks on how he regrets that he rescued him from poverty and leaves.
The tail that Chi hyeon put on Tae-jin, following Jong-soo’s orders, reports back to him with photos of Jae-kyung and Yoon-jin in Sang-eui’s car. Elsewhere, deep in the woods, Jae-kyung and his squad uncover Yun ho’s corpse.
What an ending. It’s a matter of time before some people starts going down but it will take time now that Yun ho is dead. Sang eui scheming all of this for a petty reason as jealousy makes sense in a way. Tae Jin is definitely going to go awol now that the chairman has made it clear he is abandoning him. I’m thinking he will make a mistake due to this. Anyway, Thanks for reading.
