Connection Episode 11 Recap

The episode starts with Jin wook informing the doctor on a call that he killed Ceo Yoon and would need his help getting to china. In return, he would give him some valuable items. An old man suddenly deposits some items in the doctor’s car before he speeds away. Shockingly, the doctor is Jung Sang Eui and the item he just recieved is a gun and a usb.

Meanwhile Yoon jin is in shock from the incident with Tae jin. Tae jin has the footage of the attack deleted. Meanwhile, Jae kyung is secretly taking the anti addiction pills. Yoon jin is still acting shocked but Jae kyung can tell she is pretending to be shocked out of embarrassment. He cleverly makes her snap out of it by secretly threatening to pull her hair. She returns to her old self and admits she pretended to be shocked because she was embarrassed and this annoys Joo. She then tells them about the password to the account. Tae-jin and Jun seo had opened a foreign cryptocurrency account together, splitting the password because they couldn’t trust each other and that Tae jin could still have killed Jun seo thinking that he could get the password from his wife Ji yeon. Initially, Jun seo had joined the drug operation to quickly amass money for his daughter’s medical treatment, but after he’d finally earned enough, the ambitious Tae-jin had reneged on his promise to cease the operation. Without Tae-jin’s half of the password, Jun seo hadn’t been able to withdraw a single cent.

The pharmacist Lee Myung-guk manufactured the lemon meth pills, which Jun seo delivered to the addicted Jong-soo. Tae-jin, who keeps his cards close to the vest, is likely manipulating the scheme from the shadows. But now that Myung-guk and Jun seo are dead, who has taken over their roles?

It’s Jung Sang eui. After delivering drugs to Chi yeon, he calls Tae jin to inform him about Ceo Yoon’s death but Tae jin is in a bad mood after briefly visiting Ji yeon and yells at him not to call him for such things again. They agree to meet by the next day. Meanwhile, at their hideout, Jong su and Chi yeon are excited because Yigu group is giving them 500 million for the project. Tae jin is excited as well when he hears the news but he is surprised to find Jae kyung in his office showing him evidence that he spoke with Yun ho but Tae jin simply explains that he told Yun ho to turn himself in but Jae kyung is still very suspicious of him considering what he did to Yoon jin and how he got rid  of evidence but Tae jin isn’t intimidated by him replying that he wouldn’t be able to find anything on them. However, he is shaken up when Jae kyung reveals he is aware of his drug business and how angered he is at not being able to secure the ten million dollars in his account. However, Tae jin acts as though he isn’t aware but Jae kyung warns him to be careful.

Chairman Woo is excited about the investment from Yigu group but isn’t happy with Tae jin’s ambition especially after discovering he wants to be an investor. He tells Jong su to stop relying on him and have someone follow his every move.

Meanwhile, Yun ho’s wife is arrested by the police and Ji yeon speaks with Yoon jin. Yoon jin declares her surprise in discovering that her birth date was part of the password considering she and Jun seo only briefly dated in high school. Ji yeon admits being offended by that but understands since her marriage was rocky and only her late daughter brought her and Jun seo together but when she died, she was lonely and ended up having an affair with Tae jin which she thought wouldn’t last. But to her surprise, Jun seo discovered the affair and confronted her about it. She shamelessly admitted it. That was ten days before Jun seo’s death. And now, she’s afraid Tae jin would leave her as well.

Jae kyung interrogates Yun ho’s wife on his whereabouts telling her not to rely on his friends because they wouldn’t save him. His wife feels bitter over their inability to help her husband and decides to cooperate with Jae kyung as long as Yun ho isn’t harmed. She reveals where he is, Pine motel. But when the police arrive, Yun ho escapes.

The devious trio gathers in their private hideout, where Jong-soo denigrates a meek Sang-eui. Then they send Sang-eui out to discuss matters in private, unaware that Sang-eui’s phone is recording audio in the coat he left behind. Tae-jin criticizes Chi-hyun and Jong-soo for rashly killing Myung-guk, but in turn, Jong-soo flares up at Tae-jin for cementing plans on his own and ordering them around. Unfazed, Tae-jin points out that Yun ho is too much of a liability, insinuating that he ought to be eliminated entirely. He then scolds Chi hyeon for killing Myung Guk and not letting them know he was blackmailing him, thereby causing unnecessary trouble. Things get tense as they are all afraid they would get exposed soon if they don’t take drastic measures.

Sang-eui calls Yun ho with an audio clip of Tae-jin’s proclamation, then follows it up with a message that the proof of Tae-jin murdering Jun seo is somewhere within Jun seo’s house. Yun ho then calls Chi yeon informing him that Tae jin planned everything and that he wants him dead because he is aware of his affair with Ji yeon, Jun seo’s wife. He plans to kill her. Yun ho beelines straight there, and guilelessly, Ji-yeon opens the door. Recounting how Jun seo had always been there for him, Yun ho works himself up into a seething agitation, accusing Ji-yeon of betraying her husband and killing him in cold blood with Tae-jin.

By the time Jae-kyung’s squad arrives, Ji-yeon lies battered — but still breathing — amidst a thoroughly ransacked apartment. Yun ho hadn’t finished her off despite having ample opportunity to; murder had not been his motive. In the midst of this, Jae kyung tries to fight the urge to take the yellow pill. Meanwhile, after interrogating the yellow pill dealers, captain Yu finds out that Jae kyung is an addict after the dealers reveal that Jae kyung didn’t flinch when they gave him the drugs.

Ji yeon is taken to the hospital where she is stabilized but when Jae kyung sees Tae jin who has come to check on her, he punches him in the face. Jae kyung blames him for everything, for Jun seo’s death and for Ji yeon’s murder attempt thinking he must have sent Yun ho after her but Tae jin punches him back justifying his innocence and threatening to have him arrested. Just as he turns to leave, Yoon jin arrives, slapping him as well for assaulting her previously.
