Boys Be Brave Episodes 7-8 Final Recaps

A young Ki sub suffers from loneliness due to his father’s busy life. He spends his time at the attic writing notes that would help his father like him.

In the present, Jin woo pulls away from Ki sub awkwardly. Ki sub wraps him in his coat and they prepare to head back home. However, Jin woo tells Ki sub he has to deliver a hand written research paper to his father and it was one of the reasons he came.

This annoys Ki Sub, angry that his father cares more about a document than his own son. However, he regrets it immediately when he realizes how important the research paper is. They head to Jin woo’s family house and while Ki Sub tries to restore the torn pieces of the paper, Jin woo heads to an old laptop in his room to video call his father.

He immediately apologizes to his father for tearing his paper and when his father asks, Jin woo replies it’s because he cares more about his research than his family. To his surprise, his father starts listing out all the things about him which Ki sub surprisingly told him. He obviously likes Ki sub and is happy that he has someone close to him. He apologizes for not being around since his mother died and says he would end his research but hopes that Jin woo would visit him from time to time. Jin woo is lost for words but agrees.

After his video call with his father, he meets Ki sub in the living room and the two of them run around together. That night while Jin woo is asleep, Ki sub writes a schedule of the things he would do with Jin woo the next day. He calls Balg um for help but his friend is too depressed to even answer his call.

The next morning, Ki sub takes Jin woo to a planet museum. Even though Jin woo says he finds the place boring, Ki sub persists in showing him around and they end up enjoying each other’s company. They finally stop in a theater room with tiny beautiful lights above them. Jin woo asks Ki sub why he brought him here and Ki sub replies it’s because he always wanted to visit the stars. He shows him a card he drew as a child showing him with his parents on the moon. He tells him he found the card in a beautiful box in his father’s office.

He even brings out two cakes, one from him and the other from his father. Jin woo is so touched that he pulls Ki sub into a hug and finally confesses that he likes him. He tells him that even though he’s not his ideal type and a mess, he likes him for who he is and would want them to date. However, to his shock, Ki sub rejects him.

The next morning, Jin woo ponders over why he was rejected. He recalls telling Ki sub after he was rejected that he only wrote the list in order to deny his feelings for him. Still, Ki Sub seems to be bothered by something. Just then, Ki sub suddenly barges into his house, telling Jin woo he likes him and would want them to date. He had only rejected him earlier because he needed to take care of something.

Ki sub has a heart problem and his sister tells him that his heart has been racing a lot recently as he has to go abroad for treatment but Ki sub clarifies it’s because of his feelings for Jin woo and that whenever they are together, he can control his heart beat. He tells his sister that he wants to do something for himself for once begs for her understanding.

After telling Jin woo all these, the latter worries that he’s no longer traveling abroad but Ki sub assures him that he’s fine and would never leave him. His family are happy that he’s standing up for himself for once and even his sister wants to meet him. He formally asks to go out with him. Even before he can finish, Jin woo kisses him and what takes place next is cuteness overload between the two as they formally begin their relationship.
