In a flashback, the nun introduced to Yeong won tells her that Lee Se Eun, Se na’s sister had died. Se na was obsessed with her, killing pigeons because they hurt her and setting fire to their house to kill their parents because they hated Se na. Se Eun had jumped into the fire to rescue their parents despite Se na’s attempt to stop her. However, she became unconscious but when she survived, decided to live in the convent to hide from Se na until she died of PTSD.
Yeong won then got someone who looked like Se Eun to deceive Se na. It worked but now Se na is choking her after discovering the deceit. Thankfully, a staff member and Kyung tae arrive, causing Se na to flee. Unaware to her, everything’s been recorded. Se na nearly escapes but Yeong won and a staff member hound her just as she’s entering her car. Kyung tae arrives in time to arrest her.
During questioning, Se na smartly tries to exonerate herself claiming she choked Yeong won because she deceived her. As for the hidden cameras in her house, there’s no proof she’s responsible. Yeong won then promises Kyung tae to get evidence within twenty four hours so Se na won’t be released.
Yeong won then speaks with Se na who brands her a hypocrite for trying to protect her family when she advised against that in her show, telling people to cut off bad family members. Yeong won simply responds that she will have her locked up and treated because she suffers from Anti social personality disorder.
Sa Kang and Park Kang Sung begin to suspect Mr An because he lied about getting the threatening items from the mail. But after checking the CCTV camera, no one took out any mail.
Yeong won’s secretary packs all the threatening items Se na sent to her. Yeong won then begins to look for witnesses to testify against Se na. She goes to Dr Oh but she is bitter towards her and refuses to testify unless she leaves her family.
That night, Sa Kang and Park carry out their plan. Sa Kang introduces Mr An to Park who gets him drunk. She then asks Mr An for the keys to the garage which is also his car keys. She locates his car and then retrieves the dash cam footage from it. After watching the contents of the dash cam, she discovers that Mr An and Se na were lovers who met secretly. She then shows this to Jae Jin and Yeong won. Jae Jin is beyond embarrassed and shocked at the revelation.
Yeong won wonders if Mr An will testify for them, seeing that he is brainwashed but Sa Kang replies that they will make him. Yeong won tells Jae Jin bluntly to testify tomorrow.
The next morning, Mr An is shocked when Yeong won and Sa Kang confront him with the truth. However, Mr An believes Se na is a victim until Yeong won shows him proof of the horrible crimes she committed by killing her own family and her two husbands. She urges him to testify against Se na. They bring him to the police station. Before he testifies, Sa Kang visits Se na in prison and tells her that Mr An got busted. It’s only a matter of time before she’s exposed.
But Mr An shocks everyone by taking the entire blame of the hidden camera instead of Se na. Sa Kang can’t control her anger. She enters the interrogation room and repeatedly hits Mr An until police carries her away.
Due to his statement, Se na is freed. As she leaves the station, she sees Jae Jin waiting for her. It’s obvious that she only used him and Jae Jin tells her that he would make sure she doesn’t hurt his family. He would also expose her for hurting Dr Oh but he is surprised when Se na turns the tables, saying that he was the one who hurt Dr Oh. She threatens that he won’t find anything against her since his family has done worse things.
Do hyun and So Yi meet Yeong won in her office. But they are uncomfortable when Yeong won suddenly changes her mind, wanting them both to have the baby in Korea instead of travelling abroad. Young min enters and meets a cold atmosphere. So yi insists on not changing her mind and leaves with Do hyun. Young min is in disbelief when Yeong won tells him that So yi is pregnant for Do hyun.
Yeong won suddenly recieves a text from Se na telling her that she was rash in thinking her son’s secret was the pregnancy. This definitely bothers Yeong won
That night, Sa Kang tells Jae Jin that everything she did was for his sake but Jae Jin responds that she felt shackled by him because of this which was why he made a wrong choice. He pleads for her to stop saying things like that but Sa Kang insists that she loves her family more than her life. That’s when Jae Jin looses it, crying that she should have planned out her own life. He blurts out that he isn’t even her biological son. Sa Kang looks hurt as he walks away.
Yeong won speaks to Do Hyun in his room, urging him to be honest with her. She then tells him that someone knows his secret and that she’s afraid they may use it against him. That’s when Do hyun comes clean, admitting that So Yi isn’t pregnant for him and that the truth was he wanted to go to America to be with his boyfriend Jun oh. Do hyun is actually gay. Yeong won is shocked, thinking he may be confused due to his age but Do hyun insists he isn’t confused. He tried hard to deny himself but he couldn’t and began to grow scared that if his orientation was discovered, it would damage her career. He also didn’t want to dissapoint her which was why he couldn’t tell her about himself.
Mother and son are in tears. Yeong won hugs Do hyun assuring him that she cherishes him more than anything and will stand with him and protect him till the end.
Meanwhile, the other mother and son are reminiscing sadly about their relationship. Sa Kang through videos, Jae Jin through her old letters to him where she writes that he’s her star and her pride.
They see eachother the next morning while it’s snowing. Neither say anything to each other until Jae Jin remarks that it’s cold and calls her mother. He then leaves without another word and Sa Kang sips her hot tea with a small smile on her face.
Yeong won tells Jae Jin and Sa Kang about Do hyun. They are flustered. Sa Kang is against him being gay. But Jae Jin agrees with Yeong won in supporting Do hyun. But the problem is that Se na is aware of the secret and could use it against their family. But Yeong won is ready to give up everything for Do Hyun just like Sa Kang did for her own son.
That night, Jae Jin and Do Hyun speak, both lying on the bed. Do hyun reveals he didn’t tell him about his sexuality because he was afraid he would tell his mother. When he was about to tell him, he ran away from home. However, he chastises his father for cheating and says he’s on his mom’s side. Jae jin admits his wrong but assures him that even though him and his mother are on bad terms, they love him no matter what. Do hyun smiles that he understands that now but reveals that Tae Oh was wrong about his mother when he told him that she would shun him when she finds out.
Jae Jin is disturbed by this and meets Tae Oh at a club. He confronts him for turning Do hyun’s mind against Yeong won but Tae Oh replies that he was only being considerate. He then reminds Jae Jin that he lied as well by introducing him as his senior’s son and that he can’t tell Yeong won how they met. Jae Jin explodes and holds his collar but Tae Oh pushes him away and laughs hysterically.
Meanwhile Se na sets a fire in front of the vacation house and starts dancing in front of it.
In her show, Yeong won is shocked when her son’s sexuality is suddenly revealed by an anonymous caller claiming to have a homosexual son. At the same time, the news have circulated about Do hyun being gay. She hurries to Do hyun’s school trying to avoid the looks from students. As she is heading into the school while at the same time, trying to call Do Hyun, a body suddenly falls from the top of the school building onto the car next to her. Yeong won looks and to her shock, it’s Do hyun in a pool of his own blood.
Yeong won wakes up in a cold sweat and discovers it was only a nightmare.
Sa Kang treats Do hyun and So Yi to dinner. She finally gives Do Hyun her support regretting that she didn’t give her own son the same freedom of choice. Do Hyun gets so emotional that he leaves the table to cry. Sa Kang tells So Yi she has figured out why she took such a risk. It was because she likes Do hyun.
Just before her live show, Se na sends Yeong won a link to Do Hyun and Jun ho’s lovestagram which clearly shows their romantic relationship. Se na calls threatening to expose everything on her show if she doesn’t stop her. Without telling anyone, Yeong won heads to the vacation house where Se na is. But when she arrives, she sees Sa Kang with blood all over her body. Next to her is Mr An who has been stabbed to death. Yeong won rushes to Sa Kang asking if she’s fine but outside the building, police has surrounded them.
One episode to go and I have to admit, this show kept getting better and better. I thought it was predictable but it wasn’t at least for me. Do hyun being gay wasn’t what I had envisioned. Although I was quite confused on his insistence to see his ‘friend’ abroad. Now, I get it.
The acting is phenomenal. Our villains Se na and Tae oh are giving it their all. Se na, being the feisty villain, Tae Oh being the quiet one whom no one noticed until it’s too late. I still wonder what his business is with Jae Jin and why he seems to dislike Yeong won so much.
I have to give it to Se na. She’s crazy but a formidable villain who isn’t ready to give up. She’s pulling all the stops and isn’t ready to give her targets any breathing space. Sa kang’s anger when she hit Mr An after his betrayal was so realistic. The actress did an amazing job. Yeong won’s facial expressions when Do Hyun revealed his secret to her was pure acting genius. I felt every bit of that scene. Anyway, we are reaching the end, can’t wait to know how the family will escape Se na’s set up.
