The beginning shows Dogeon dropping off two gallons of petrol in front of Cein’s mother’s house. Then he calls someone to let them know he has accomplished his task.
In the present, the boys are questioned by the police regarding the dead body at the beach. The detective tells the boys that Haru is in a psychiatric hospital and they would get someone to speak with him. This surprises the boys as they realize he lied to them about visiting his brother abroad. Haru is questioned in his mother’s presence. The detective asks about his mental illness and that greatly aggravates his mother. When the detective leaves, Haru’s mother tells him that he is exhausting her. (How can you say that to your own child maam?)
The boys are shown the victim’s picture. His name is Woojong and Dogeon recognises him because they had once brushed past each other when he went to see Joo an at his house. He tells this to the police. The boys family members come to get their children, except for Joo an whose father has yet to arrive. However, Dogeon and Hosu decide to stay behind and keep him company.
Kim Hwan’s father seizes his cell phone so he wouldn’t contact the other boys while Jae ha’s step father scolds him and his step brother accuses him of trying to gain attention and pretending to be innocent. But Jae ha gets into his skin, telling him he’s threatened by him. He even threatens to kill himself, causing his step brother to hit him severely
Finally, Joo an’s father arrives and the police asks him what the late woonjeong visited him for and Joo an’s father recalls he told him he would die on the beach and that it would happen several times. Turns out, Woonjeong was a student from the scholarship fund.
Meanwhile, Dogeon gets an earful from his boss for his lackadaisical attitude to his work. Plus he and his family is worried about the redevelopment soon to take place in the neighborhood. The project is handled by Kim hwan’s father and would render a lot of poor people homeless. During a meeting while everyone is airing their grievances about the redevelopment to Kim hwan’s father Changjun. Joo An’s father suddenly enters and approaches Changjun to tell him Woonjeong is dead.
Meanwhile, Haru is having a difficult time in the psychiatrist ward especially since the brother of the victim he ignored happens to also be a patient there. Unable to handle the nightmares, he informs the victim’s brother that he would tell the police what he knows especially since he still remembers the killer’s face.
Cein pleads with Joo an’s father to tell him what he knows but once again, the man refuses. Haru gets influenced by his parents who advises him not to tell the truth about the incident because no one will believe him. As a result, he goes back on his word and does not reveal the truth like he said he would. Due to this, Ji han, the victim’s brother has a mental break down and has to be carried away. Haru is later discharged but he is unhappy
Woojeong’s car is found parked in front of the Dojeong’s boss’ shed which leads the place to be locked up. He is avidly against the redevelopment and yells at the police for their inadequacies. Meanwhile, Changjun’s secretary returns Kim Hwan’s phone to him but he invites him to a dinner with his father and his associates. There, Kim hwan is repulsed by how his father and his friends degrade the poor. In private, he confronts his father and for the first time in his life, he reveals how disappointed he is in him and calls him a liar for deceiving the people who elected him. His father slaps him and just then, the power goes out. Turns out there is black out in the entire town.
Kim hwan leaves the house against his father’s will and reunites with his friends who are surprised to see his vulnerable state.
The junior students eventually graduate. Parents attend their children’s graduation. Even Haru’s parents and older brother come except for Joo an’s father. However, the other boys try to make up for it by dressing in dinosaur costumes to surprise Joo an but he is unaware that his sister came. To thank Haru’s friends, his parents give everyone a fur coat as gifts. Soon enough, they all disperse making Joo an sad but Kim Hwan offers to play games with him at a game center. However, he is quite bad at it.
Joo an returns home to find his sister waiting in front of his house. She congratulates him but he is sad because he was the only one at school whose family didn’t attend his graduation. She tells him she did come and that their mother would have come as well but she was afraid of running into their father. Joo an snatches the flower she came with away from her and as he’s leaving, his sister tells him their address.
Joo an enters the house only to find his father on the ground, slumped due to overdrinking. Unable to hold back, Joo an yells at his father for not attending his graduation. He threatens that he would go live with his mom and sister if he continues this lifestyle.
Meanwhile, Haru’s family doesn’t want him to follow them to a relative’s place and Haru overhears his brother blaming his mental illness on him. This upsets Haru who confronts them saying that the reason he is weak is because they hide his suffering and make him pretend like he is fine. Feeling depressed, he immerses himself in his tub filled with water.
Kim hwan is back with his father, helping him out in his electoral campaign in becoming a new member of the national assembly. Doseong and Hosu see him with his father and assist him which impresses his father. When his father leaves for seol that day, he invites his friends who are extremely delighted to be in such a house. But they panic when they see Kin hwan’s father’s secretary but Kim hwan calms them down by informing them that he knows already. The secretary even buys them a meal and tells Kim Hwan that he approves of his friends. Kim hwan thanks the secretary for preventing him from getting thrown out that night.
Later, Kim hwan and Cein speak privately, talking about the relationship between their parents. Cein says his mother was often depressed and it shattered the family. Although Cein doesn’t believe his mother was as loose as the principal portrayed her to be. Kim hwan suddenly says that they never caught his mother’s arsonist. Cein replies that they never can and that it wasn’t the first time she tried to kill herself because she was mentally disturbed.
That night, Kim Hwan looks through his family’s basement and comes across old tapes. Inside the rolls are love messages between his father and Cein’s mother and it seemed it was the father who first confessed to Cein’s mother and she reciprocated the feeling.
Jae ha feels a little left out from the other boys because he is still in junior school. His step brother also bullies him. He even calls Cein but he ignores his message causing him to rush into his classroom and yell at him. He gets punished for that and Kim hwan and Cein take his videos, teasing him.
Kim hwan is at a dilemma as he can no longer trust his father. Haru’s relationship with his family worsens as his older brother prepares to return abroad. Doseong’s brother has been living with Hosu in the orphanage to stop him from meeting his bad friends but he seems to be reverting back to his old way of life and Hosu tries to stop him.
Meanwhile, Jae ha meets a delinquent guy who had stolen something with his friends but drove away with him to avoid his victim from mistaking them since they were wearing the same fur coat. He tries to be friends with him but Jae ha refuses.
Meanwhile, Doseong chastises his brother after Hosu had reported him. But his brother replies that the people he hangs out with are his friends and that Hosu might not be suffering from Narcolepsy as he claims. He shows him all of Hosu’s drugs which he threw away and tells Doseong his friend is a liar and now, Doseong has no idea whether to trust Hosu.
