Bad Memory Eraser Episode 7 Recap

Episode 7 starts off with Gun, Shin, and Ju-yeon experiencing an awkward moment. Shin acts like he doesn’t recognize Ju-yeon and appears envious when he witnesses Gun looking after her. Following their departure, Ju-yeon makes an effort to clarify things with Shin and remains hopeful of their scheduled lunch meeting.

Shin appears melancholic while admiring the strength of love that transformed a near drowning experience into a positive memory for Gun. During their conversation, Gun remembers Tae-oh mentioning that Gun and Ju-yeon had disagreements before the accident occurred.

Thinking that he is by himself, Gun walks around his apartment without clothes, but is caught off guard when Ju-yeon unexpectedly shows up to look into Shi-on’s case. Fortunately, she remains unaware as he adeptly conceals himself from her view. She also notices the charger he purchased for her phone, but he acts as if it belongs to the landlord. He shifts the conversation to Shi-on’s practice videos, but he is irritated by Ju-yeon’s noisy remarks. The following day, he refrains from providing her breakfast, explaining that he is keeping his distance to avoid developing feelings for her once more.

In the meantime, Shin comes home drunk and is scolded by Mrs. Lee, who is angry. If he desires to lead a typical life, he must give up playing tennis. Mr. Lee attempts to reassure her while she explains that everyone, including his brother, has made sacrifices for him. Mr. Lee pulls Shin away so he can reconnect with Gun, making Shin happy.

Regarding Sae-yan, she pleads with her father to provide her with money, explaining that she has none of her own because he never allowed her to work. He insists she return home and she vows to do so once she finds someone. Seung-hyeon sympathizes with her and gifts her his saved money in the piggy bank.

She attempts to hail a cab using the cash but notices a pouting Shin keeping an eye out for Ju-yeon while deceiving his mother about his location. He is compelled to take her to a village after she threatens to expose him, and he starts working at a farm there while Sae yan looks for her former lover. Nevertheless, she searches for the mystery man without success and appears sorrowful. Shin attempts to lift her spirits, but she ends up tossing him into the water. That surely boosts her morale, but Shin gets back at her by leaving without her.

Ju-yeon is at the hospital waiting for Shin for their lunch date, but he doesn’t appear. Instead of that, she decides to join Gun and Shi-on as they wait for her last test before the national teams competition the following day. Shi-on continues to dislike her, but Ju-yeon is certain she can change her mind by tomorrow. Having no other tasks, she decides to work with one of her patients but she loses focus during the session.

Next, Sae-yan calls her and Ju-yeon agrees to give her a ride. Gun volunteers to be the one to drive her, questioning the identity of the person Ju-yeon is friendly with. She displays Sae-yan’s bracelet to him and reveals that she has a wish debt to repay her. On their way to the village, they stumble upon a deceased animal, prompting Gun to stop and bury it.

During that period, Shin returns and takes Sae-yan, who informs Ju-yeon that she no longer requires assistance. Shin is curious about the person she is looking for, as he is connected to the village and she insists that the enigmatic man is her first love.

Regarding his first love, Gun is curious about Ju-yeon’s somber mood throughout the entire day. She discloses that her father was a compassionate therapist who dedicated himself to his patients’ emotional well-being. However, a mentally disturbed patient ended his life one day. From then on, Ju-yeon made a promise not to form close relationships with any patient.

However, in her most recent meeting, she caught a glimpse of herself in the client’s glasses and recognized that she appeared uninterested and irritated. Gun reassures her that she is giving her best effort, even if all she is doing is listening to someone, despite her disappointment in herself.

It is the day of the event and all arrive at the athletic facility. It is evident that Guk-bong has been chosen to be the coach of the national team. Shin disregards Ju-yeon as Mrs. Cha pushes Sh-ion to excel. Just before the game starts, Shi-on collapses and Gun and Ju-yeon hurriedly take her to the hospital, only to later discover she is pretending.

Shi-on is anxious and feeling overwhelmed by the high expectations placed on her. Ju-yeon repeats Gun’s advice to Shi-on, giving her freedom to make her own choices. Gun affirms the statement and Shi-on consents to the game. Gun has asked the director to pair Shi-on and Shin in the doubles match to help each other out and increase their chances of winning.

As Gun and Ju-yeon wait for the outcome, Ju-yeon creates a wish bracelet for Sae-yan. Gun believes it is intended for him and consistently reminds her not to develop feelings for him. Their argument escalates as she discovers the phone charger receipt until Shi-on interrupts them. She and Shin emerged victorious. It is Gun’s decision whether he chooses to hire Ju-yeon, she mentions. Gun playfully taunts Ju-yeon before eventually agreeing, which leaves her feeling thrilled.

Guk-bong and Shin observe from a distance and the coach is shocked that Shin agreed to play doubles. Shin thinks helping Ju-yeon is his only option, while Guk-bong is puzzled. He also questions the closeness between Gun and Ju-yeon, to which Shin discloses that she was Gun’s first love. Guk-bong is shocked by this because it implies that Ju-yeon and Shin were kissing at the reunion.

Mrs. Cha gives her approval to Gun, while CEO Hong is irritated. Nevertheless, he resigns citing his greater talents compared to Gun in their agency. Shi-on and Gun make fun of Hong and then quickly flee.

In preparation for the meeting with the international coach, Gun, Guk-bong, Shin, Shi-on, and Ju-yeon get themselves ready that evening. The reunion is taking place in the same hotel where Gun keeps experiencing deja vu. The coach is Italian, but since the interpreter is missing, Ju-yeon brings in Sae-yan. As Gun parks the car, more memories resurface, including the one where he witnesses Shin kissing Sae-yan.

While the others wait, Guk-bong approaches Ju-yeon and warns her to keep her distance from Gun. Both she and Shin are unsure, and Guk-bong chastises them for pretending not to know. He exposed that Gun leaped into the river due to heartbreak over witnessing Shin and Ju-yeon kissing at the reunion. Shin uncovers Ju-yeon’s deception when he discovers that Gun’s first love is Sae-yan.

In the final scene of Bad-Memory Eraser Episode 7, Gun and Sae-yan exchange handshakes before meeting the Italian coach.
