Episode 3 starts with Gun cheerfully flirting with an irritated Ju-yeon, struggling to act like his former love.
Dr Han is thrilled by Ju yeon’s dedication because it saves the trial. She thinks it’s simple to pretend as Gun’s first love, but Gun’s parents bombard her with questions when she visits him in his ward but becomes shocked especially after finding out that his childhood crush saved him from drowning. Ju-yeon feels like an imposter and is consumed by this shocking discovery.
Gun makes a dramatic entrance, appearing incredibly attractive and leaving every woman he meets speechless. Gun does not believe her when she claims to have a boyfriend because she is always busy and doesn’t have time for a relationship. Ju yeon then lies and says she is secretly dating her fellow doctor Tae-oh, just as he is about to kneel and give her a red rose.
Certainly, this doesn’t make things better because Gun is envious while informing Guk-bong that he has discovered his first love who is in a relationship with another doctor. Guk Bong is struggling to figure out who she is truly in a relationship with. Remembering Gun’s broken heart, Guk-bong attempts to prevent him from getting involved with the girl.
Shin recounts the events of Gun’s accident at the police station. Shin had trailed Gun from afar after his argument with their mother. Shin quickly called 911 when Gun jumped into the river and rescued him before the paramedics showed up. Nevertheless, the detective doubts Shin’s ability to have reached and rescued his brother in such a brief amount of time.
CEO Hong, Shin’s representative, arrives and uses his celebrity status to bail him out. In the open air, Hong warns that he will make the investigation public if Shin doesn’t extend his contract. Simultaneously, there is someone observing them from a distance.
At the hospital, Tae-oh and Ju-yeon discuss the Eiffel Tower keychains they both have, which he gave her as a birthday gift. Despite her metal allergy, she values hers deeply. A nosy Gun listens in and feels envious, so he hurls his shoe at Tae-oh.
During lunch, he attempts to persuade Ju yeon to dine with him by ordering elaborate food, but is irritated when Tae-oh decides to join him instead. Ju-yeon gets food spilled on her while leaving, prompting Gun to quickly come to her aid. He is frustrated by Tae-oh’s uncaring behavior of asking Ju yeon to buy him coffee and then leaving. He questions her attraction to Tae-oh and promises to persuade her otherwise.
During practice, Mrs. Lee exerts strong control over Shin as he prepares for his upcoming match. Upon CEO Hong’s arrival, she scolds him for failing to update her on the investigation. She becomes angry and yells at Mr. Lee for interrupting Shin’s schedule after seeing him getting ready to sign tennis balls to mentor the children in Guk-bong’s class. After Hong departs, Mr. Lee erupts in anger and Shin intervenes until his parents reconcile.
Amidst the busyness, Gun surprises everyone by heading to the agency in a grand manner. He attends a meeting where he generously provides everyone with lavish meals. Although CEO Hong is impolite, when Gun mentions how his data analysis abilities can benefit Cha Shi-on, they come to an agreement. If Gun succeeds in convincing Shi-on to extend his contract, he will secure a permanent spot in the agency. Gun nods in agreement, leaving a bewildered Hong questioning if he injured his head during Shin’s rescue. Gun is puzzled after being informed that he supposedly tumbled down the stairs.
At the hospital, Gun is clearly very friendly with Nurse Song and the other staff as a way to gather more information about Tae-oh. Gun observed that everyone had received an Eiffel Tower keychain from Tae-oh, and Nurse Song mentioned that he had bought several on a business trip to Paris, emphasizing his frugality.
As Guk-bong gets his children excited about Shin’s arrival, the tennis player is delayed because he has to go to his appointment with Dr. Han beforehand. He quickly passes by Ju-yeon, but his bag is open and all the signed balls for the kids tumble out. While Shin hurries to grab the remaining items, she scolds him and lies on the ground to collect as many as possible. Tae-oh and the employees discover her on the ground and assist in collecting the balls, causing her to feel ashamed. While hurrying, she accidentally lets her keychain fall into Shin’s bag.
Shin locates her and his bag in her office and discovers she is filling in for absent Dr Han. Shin, who suffers from OCD, attempts to convince her to prescribe the same medication as Dr Han in order to be discharged. However, she is unwilling to release him without a fight, leading to a discussion about his obligation to meet the expectations set by others. Arriving late to Guk-bong’s class, he feels disappointed to find that the children have already gone.
That evening, Gun watches as the employees go home and notices Tae-oh getting friendly with Nurse Yeo. He also realizes that he hasn’t experienced any trauma from the stairs, but he still requires counseling. He discovers Ju-yeon asleep in front of her research on removing negative memories. He finds her sleeping beauty charming, but is intrigued by her research; unfortunately, Ju yeon wakes up before he can delve into it. He wishes to have dinner with her, but she declines, so he cashes in the coupon.
It was discovered that Gun won the game of rock, paper, scissors while they were in the storage room. Nevertheless, he suggested hiding in the laundry basket in exchange for a wish coupon.
During dinner, he advises her to choose a man who reciprocates her feelings, not Tae-oh. She advises Gun to let go of his first love memory and move forward instead of dwelling on the past. He describes memory as being as important to him as a hot bowl of noodles is to a hungry man. Not only did she rescue him, she also transformed a negative experience into a positive one, she is not just his history but his current reality. Ju-yeon is filled with guilt while she makes her way back home.
Exhausted, she ends up sharing the bed with the girl from the last episode by mistake. When she sees the stranger, she is surprised. During breakfast, her mom tells her that their unexpected visitor is Sae-yan, a former neighbor from before she and her family moved to Italy. For a month, she has been in South Korea. Ju-yeon’s annoyance is due to her cheerful and bubbly attitude. Not just that, she appears to have charmed the whole neighborhood with her cheerful demeanor.
At the same time, Shin deposits the autographed balls and additional presents for the children. While he is practicing, he notices Ju-yeon’s keychain inside his bag. Ju-yeon searches the hospital high and low for it. Gun taunts her before making his way to his car. That evening, in the parking lot, he discovers Tae-oh and Nurse Yeo brainstorming ideas to persuade Ju-yeon to take over for her shift. To show her gratitude, the nurse gives Tae Oh a kiss.
Gun becomes even more disturbed when he sees Ju-yeon still searching for the keyring. He acquires a matching keychain and gives it to her, lying he stole it out of envy. He attempts to offer her his jacket because she is cold, but she declines.
Next, she goes to the parking lot where Tae-oh and the nurse kissing, and Gun attempts to intervene. Although she is frustrated with him, he warns that he will be upset if she is harmed and prevents her from heading towards Tae-oh’s vehicle.
The genre of fighting for love is becoming outdated, particularly when it involves two brothers competing for the same woman. In any case, let’s wait and see what happens.
