The Judge From Hell Episodes 3-4 Recaps

In Episode 3 of The Judge From Hell, the story opens with a haunting flashback to 1999, revealing Daon’s traumatic childhood. After discovering his parents murdered in their home, Daon is forever scarred by this traumatic event. Fast forward to the present, where Bitna has just stabbed Daon, taunting him to go to Hell. However, she hesitates at the last moment, and her cursed knife disappears. The Director of Hell, Bael, appears, admonishing Bitna for punishing the wrong target. Her blunder doubles her initial kill quota from 10 to 20, complicating her already chaotic mission. Daon’s injuries mysteriously heal, and he regains consciousness, shocked to find the cut on his side vanished.

Determined to make sense of his bizarre experience, Daon takes Bitna to the police station. However, the officers dismiss his claims, chalking them up to drunken antics. Bitna cleverly claims she was with him voluntarily, adding comedic relief to the tense situation.

Later, at a local diner, Bitna is threatened by a waitress named Gremory who believes she’s a runaway demon. To everyone’s surprise, when Gremory realizes Bitna’s true identity as Justitia, she becomes starstruck, revealing her own mission to eliminate several targets.Bitna later meets Daon who has done a check up confirming he is fine. She reveals she is a demon even showing him her knife and using her powers to get rid of the cameras. She then warns Daon never to reveal who she really is or she would kill him.

Meanwhile, a gripping new case emerges. A tragic accident leaves Jiho’s father dead after drowning in a car crash, leading to a custody battle between Jiho’s mother, Ba Jayeong, and her mother-in-law. As they fight for Jiho, we learn about the hidden motives behind their claims, including a substantial insurance payout tied to Jiho’s father’s death.

Bitna and Daon cross paths again when Daon uses a megaphone to demand her attention. Despite Bitna’s annoyance, she heads to Jiho’s school, where we learn about Jiho’s past and his adoption story, adding layers to his character.

As the plot thickens, we discover that Jiho’s grandmother may have ulterior motives involving the insurance money. Tension builds when Daon presses Bitna for information, revealing his determination to protect Jiho from harm. Meanwhile, Bitna, underestimating Jiho’s artistic talent, finds one of his drawings could serve as critical evidence against Jayeong.

Bitna’s investigation leads her to uncover a shocking truth: Jiho witnessed his mother intentionally drown his father, gluing his seatbelt shut before swerving into the water. As Bitna vows to protect Jiho, she expresses her belief in the honesty of children’s testimonies, prompting Daon to see a glimpse of her compassion.

In the courtroom, Judge Kang suspends the grandmother’s case, allowing her a chance to redeem herself while still grappling with parental rights with Jayeong. However, Bitna’s intentions are clear as she uses her supernatural abilities to anticipate Jayeong’s next move watching how she assaults Jiho, even dunking him in a bath full of water. In a chilling twist, Bitna prepares to confront Jayeong, knife in hand, ready to unleash her wrath.

In Episode 4 of The Judge From Hell, tension rises as Bitna confronts Jayeong outside, claiming Jiho is safe at home. However, her confident facade is shattered by the truth revealed through her secret mirror.

The episode flashes back four days earlier, where Daon and Bitna discuss their unusual circumstances. Daon has decided to stop pursuing Bitna, realizing he no longer seeks evidence of his resurrection. While he’s no longer afraid of her, he recognizes that Bitna is far too peculiar to be human yet too kind to be a demon. This change in perspective stems from Bitna’s genuine affection for children, which moved Daon in the previous episode.

During a night out, Gremory and Man-do discuss the risks of demons falling in love which could result in death, hinting at potential developments in Bitna and Daon’s relationship. Meanwhile, Bitna keeps tabs on Jayeong through her mirror and notices a sinister smirk that warns of trouble.

Bitna discovers Jayeong has drugged Jiho’s grandmother, enabling her to take Jiho away. When Jiho manages to call Daon, terrified and hiding, Daon races to find him just in time. He rescues Jiho, who was hiding outside after escaping Jayeong.

Meanwhile, Man-do uses a fake voice to blackmail Jayeong into submission. Bitna dramatically drives up to confront Jayeong, reminiscent of a classic scene from Taxi Driver. Just as in Episode 2, Bitna puts Jayeong in a perilous situation by gluing her to the backseat of a sinking car, forcing her to confess her involvement in the murders of her ex-husband and Hyeonsu.

Jayeong reveals her hatred for her first husband, whom she manipulated and ultimately murdered for financial gain. She spared Jiho to maintain her alibi and plotted to stage her husband’s death as an accident to collect the insurance money.

After Bitna makes Jayeong experience the suffering she inflicted on her husband, she sends her to Murderer Hell, leaving her in a suitcase near the police station—her signature mark, the “Gehenna” stamp, clear on the body.

Bitna’s plans go beyond mere vengeance; she seems to have developed feelings for Daon thinking he is the perfect person for her to fool around with till she returns to hell. Dressed to impress, she eagerly awaits his call, but she is summoned to meet Jung Jae-gul and his son, her ex fiancee who invites her to dinner.

At dinner, the awkwardness escalates as Bitna skips grace and digs into the food, revealing her parents’ history in Argentina. The conversation shifts to the redevelopment plans, and Bitna, unfazed, takes leftovers to meet Gremory. The two talk and the tragic stories of Bitna’s and Man-do’s pasts resurface, showcasing the heavy burdens they carry. As for Gremery, she took over her hist’s body after she committed suicide due to being scammed by her friend of all her money. She was an orphan. Bitna soon faces another challenge when called to cooperate with Daon in a serial killer investigation of the killer who stamps people on the head. As Bitna and Daon return home, an elderly woman warns them to stay apart to avoid impending death—hinting at Bitna’s potential downfall should she fall in love.

The next day, Gremory and Man-do discover a lead on a notorious killer known as “J,” who has claimed the lives of 12 citizens.

Bitna’s focus sharpens as she investigates this new case, believing she only needs to eliminate five more targets to fulfill her quota. Meanwhile, Daon grapples with moral dilemmas, discovering a Coke can at the scene that may provide evidence linking Jayeong to her crimes.

As Daon delves deeper into the mystery, he finds resistance from others who believe it’s best to let the past go. In a poignant moment, Bitna helps Jiho receive a letter from his father through a messenger from the afterlife, giving Jiho hope as he promises to take care of his grandmother.

In a twist of fate, Daon visits Bitna at her place, and her joy upon seeing him leads to an alarming turn of events—she suddenly collapses, clutching her chest, suggesting that her feelings for Daon may have dire consequences.

Episode3-4 of The Judge From Hell deepens the complexity of Bitna and Daon’s relationship while unveiling dark secrets and moral challenges. As the tension escalates, viewers are left eager to see how love and danger intertwine in the episodes to come.
