In Episode 15 of Good Partner, Eun-kyung’s latest case involves a wife seeking divorce due to her husband’s sexual dysfunction, while Yu-ri, representing the husband, is dealing with claims that his wife’s sex addiction is the real problem. Both clients are determined to win the upper hand, pressuring their attorneys to escalate the case. It’s only when Eun-kyung checks the case file that she realizes she and Yu-ri are representing opposing sides.
The wife presents a phone recording of her husband refusing sexual intimacy, and in retaliation, the husband submits his own recording of her demanding sex. This leads to tension between Eun-kyung and Yu-ri, especially when Eun-kyung is upset by Yu-ri’s portrayal of the wife as a sex addict. They appear headed for a courtroom showdown, but both lawyers agree to try settling the matter out of court and convince their clients to reconcile.
Eun-kyung humorously vents about Yu-ri to Woo-jin, who encourages her to expand her team, which she agrees to. Meanwhile, Eun-ho takes time off to visit his parents, uncertain about his future, which saddens Yu-ri, who misses him.
During court mediation, it’s clear that pride is driving the couple’s conflict. When the settlement fails, they head to trial, but Eun-kyung and Yu-ri eventually realize that the root of the issue is not about sex. The wife wants children, while the husband, burdened by financial concerns, does not. They haven’t communicated this, allowing pride to widen the gap.
The attorneys arrange a final meeting where the couple openly discusses their differences and agree to divorce due to their conflicting desires about having children. But Eun kyung tells Yu ri that although their marriage ended, they would be free of financial burdens and pregnancy issues and have their real relationship. Yu ri is surprised as she spots the couple holding hands.
In a surprise twist, Yu-ri learns that Eun-ho has left her firm — to join Eun-kyung! A flashback reveals that Eun-kyung visited him at his parents’ house and convinced him to come on board during his career crisis, with Woo-jin recommending Eun-ho due to his skill in resolving divorce cases through mediation.
Eun-ho breathes new life into Eun-kyung’s practice, managing social media, fixing office problems, and bringing in more clients. Woo-jin and Eun-kyung set up an awkward dinner for Eun-ho and Yu-ri to address their feelings, which ends with Yu-ri hugging Eun-ho and agreeing to give dating a try.
The episode closes with Woo-jin’s father asking Eun-kyung to handle his case, setting the stage for the next episode.
The final really surprised. However, I’m happy Eun ho and Yu ri got together. She finally realised that all her insecurities about marriage did not matter until she eventually fell in love. But what about Woo jin and Eun Kyung? Looks like a pipe dream, something we will never get to see
