The third episode starts with a flashback detailing the origins of Joo-won and Yoon-seo’s relationship. Upon his return to Korea from two years studying abroad, Joo-won finds it difficult to adapt to being an intern before taking on a leadership position at his mother’s company.
He soon comes to the realization that he is not as remarkable as he had believed before, receiving reprimands from his superiors, especially Yeon seo, and being pushed to consume excessive amounts of alcohol at work events. Yoon-seo listens in as he complains to his brother about his desire to quit. She is his sole source of comfort, motivating him to endure the difficulties of being a novice. This is the start of Joo-won developing feelings for Yoon-seo.
The focus then moves to Yoon-seo and Joo-won waiting outside a restaurant, where Yoon-seo barely manages to evade a kiss from Joo-won. Inebriated and frustrated, Joo-won has a meltdown in public, exposing a few of Yoon-seo’s private details. The following day, he wakes up to his brother’s teasing and numerous feelings of remorse.
In the workplace, Yoon-seo and Joo-won both make an effort to steer clear of one another, experiencing discomfort following their previous meeting. At the same time, Yoon-seo’s brother, Ji-suk, sees a classmate being bullied. Even though he is capable of interfering, he decides not to and sees it as too much trouble.
Afterwards, Yoon-seo and Joo-won are compelled to have lunch together and decide to have a discussion in Joo-won’s office at a later time. During an important call with Joo-won, Yoon-seo encounters the department chairwoman who once again expresses her confidence in Yoon-seo to end things with Joo-won.
Joo won arrives and departs with his mother, who observes his discomfort with her sudden arrival. Sitting in her car, the chairwoman is taken aback to see Yoo Seo, a seemingly cold woman, looking at her son with genuine adoration in the photo her spy sent.
. With her mind preoccupied, Yoon-seo goes to I-rae’s eatery and focuses intently on her tasks to avoid thinking about Joo-won. She shares with I-rae, saying that since she never had a supportive family, she values the importance of a warm family and doesn’t want to create issues with Joo-won and his family.
The following day, Yoon-seo gets a phone call from Ji-suk’s teacher, asking her to attend the anti-bullying committee. At that moment, she discovers that Ji-suk stood by and did nothing while his classmate was being bullied. She expresses regret to the mother of her classmate, admitting fault for not raising Ji-suk adequately.
While heading back home, she asks Ji-suk why he chose not to get involved, especially since Yoon-seo had experienced domestic abuse from their father. It was discovered that she managed to flee with Ji-suk after getting into college, causing her to be even more let down by his silence during the violence. Ji-suk is overwhelmed with guilt and acknowledges that he should have voiced his thoughts.
In another place, Joo-won meets his brother and understands that holding onto Yoon-seo is only complicating her life. He meets Yoon-seo and they ultimately decide that breaking up is the best option. Joo-won proposes having a final enjoyable day together before parting ways. They go to an amusement park and have fun on the attractions. At the same time, Yoon seo’s brother is surprised in the morning when he discovers that the whole house is clean. He remembers a wine he enjoyed showing up out of nowhere in his home. He believes he has amnesia but is surprised when his wife suddenly appears and catches him in his underwear. Turns put she was the cause of his confusion. She points out his appearance and laughs when he tries to hide from her. After their date, Yoon seo and Joo won eventually end their relationship.
So the series is a little stale and not progressing fast but ultimately, I still enjoy it, especially Joo won’s brother’s part. I can’t wait to see his dynamics with his wife. It’s going to be pretty enjoyable.
