Hybe Suffers Backlash From Fans Over Deletion Of Bts V Fancams From Youtube

Recently, fans of BTS observed that certain fancams of V were removed from YouTube. As per their statement, the videos were unexpectedly copyrighted years after they were first uploaded. Furthermore, only V was the target of such a surprising fancam removal. ARMYs are trending “Taehyung is BTS too” on Twitter to show their support for their favorite K-pop star.

Many fans on their X handles expressed outrage on September 4 after discovering that some of V’s fancams had been removed from YouTube. Several of these videos garnered millions of views. Nevertheless, the issue escalated when internet users observed that the majority of these videos were posted many years ago and he is the sole BTS member with copyrighted fancams.

Furthermore, it was discovered that a specific YouTube channel, which had posted numerous fancams of him, had been taken down. Of course, ARMYs were let down to hear about the surprising situation. Specifically, these fan cams serve as a historical record for the group and the members’ previous shows. To show support for V, fans began trending “Taehyung is BTS too” on X. In the meantime, a lot of people believe that sasaeng fans are behind this, and they are likely the ones who have reported these videos. Some supporters believe that HYBE is responsible for the removal, possibly due to alleging copyright violations and resulting in the deletion of those fancams. Fans are urging the agency to treat V fairly and are expressing their concerns on X.

Still, the cause of this surprising situation remains a mystery. BIGHIT MUSIC, the company of the popular boy band BTS, has not responded to the situation either. V made a comeback with his solo digital single FRI(END)S in March this year on the work front. After that, he revealed his initial photo book project called TYPE 1. To mark the release, he introduced a solo exhibition titled ARTSPACE : TYPE 1.

During December 2023, he joined mandatory military service with RM, his bandmate. The pair will be released in June of the upcoming year. In 2025, V will come together with the remaining members to restart BTS activities.
