The third episode starts with a flashback to Seung-hyo and Seok-ryu’s history. Seung-hyo participates in a swimming contest with both his parents unable to be present, as his mother is a diplomat and his father is a doctor.
Alone and unsupported, to his surprise, Seok-ryu stands among the crowd, enthusiastically cheering for him despite his embarrassment at her excessive zeal. At this moment, he is startled awake by her cries coming from the neighboring apartment at 3 am, only to find out she was just watching a movie. The pair argue and Seung hyo ruins her film by disclosing the ending, much to her irritation.
He goes back to sleep and keeps dreaming of his victory in the swimming competition and Seok Ryu’s joy.
The following day, it becomes evident that there is a strange dynamic within Seung-hyo’s family as they all seem tense while having breakfast together. While at work, Seung-hyo discovers a new client interested in constructing a high-end retirement residence for the affluent, but his focus is on winning the design contest for his alma mater’s gymnasium, where he enjoyed swimming.
In the meantime, Seok-ryu appreciates the good treatment she receives from her parents. She essentially creates a daily routine for herself, outlining activities such as gaming, daydreaming, watching TV, napping, and more. Later, she asked Seung-hyo to read a comic together, but he playfully declined.
Shortly after, Seung-hyo and Mo-eun hang out with her at the bookstore, with Seung-hyo acting as if he didn’t come for her, but to purchase a book. He chooses a book titled princess by chance, which amuses Mo Seok ryu. In the end, Seung hyo and Mo eun depart for work, while Seok-ryu plans her activities for her free time from 8 pm to 10 pm.
The following day, she unexpectedly encounters her previous homeroom teacher, who is currently the principal of their school. During the process of assisting her with delivering an order from her parents’ restaurant, they encounter Seung-hyo, who is at the gym for the design competition. His decision to participate in the competition makes their teacher proud.
During a conversation with her teacher about her previous job, Seok-ryu does not refuse her employment history and unexpectedly provides a guest lecture to the students as a former student, prompting her to reflect on her childhood aspiration when a student inquires about it.
Following the end of the lecture, Seung-hyo asks her to assist him in unearthing the time capsule that contains letters which the three friends had buried for themselves to be opened a decade later. She gets emotional questioning why Seung hyo went along when she pretended to still be employed at Greip but Seung hyo points out that she had indeed been an employee there and her experience was authentic. Nevertheless, her spirits dwindle and she departs right before they reach the capsule, prompting Seung-hyo to go after her.
She feels discouraged upon discovering that her brother is also doing well, working part-time and supporting himself financially.
On her way to the hospital in an ambulance, Mo-eun sees a man assisting with traffic and tells her colleagues he’s her perfect match. The man is reporter Dan-ho, yet she is unaware of his identity.
Seung-hyo and his co-founder Myeong-u have a meeting with a potential client, but Seung-hyo is not willing to collaborate with them as they are requesting him to copy architectural designs. This results in a disagreement between the two creators concerning the company’s future. At the same time, Mo eun receives a lovely card and food from Dan ho, making her extremely happy.
In another place, Seok-ryu encounters a potential customer who is enthusiastic about hiring her. Seung-hyo manages this and prompts Seok-ryu to pursue her aspirations, asking if she truly desires to return to a job she disliked. Seok-ryu contends that being able to have a job that is enjoyable is a special advantage. Seok ryu and Seung hyo get into a disagreement because Seok ryu claims he doesn’t understand her, but Seung hyo is upset and points out that she appears to have overlooked his previous experience.
The day after, with the help of Seung-hyo’s colleague and subordinate, he and the co-CEO Myeong-u settle their differences. In the meantime, Seok-ryu is contemplating the direction she is taking in her life.
Mo eun is informed by her mother that their new neighbor has gifted them rice cake. The new house, which nobody seemed to like, was being put up for sale by her mother, a real estate agent, who is pleased that their new neighbor finally occupied it..
In an attempt to uncover her dream, Seok ryu tries to retrieve the time capsule once more, but is unsuccessful. Seok-ryu meets her teacher and reveals the real reason for leaving her job. The teacher gives her support and motivates her to pursue her own chosen path.
Upon her departure, she encounters Seung-hyo in the gymnasium and discovers that he had already located the time capsule, playfully poking fun at the letter she had composed as a teenager. He dives into the water and mentions that it’s been a while since he’s been in a pool since his injury. Seok ryu offers an apology for their previous disagreement. In a flashback, we witness her attempts to help Seung hyo out of his rough patch, to the point where she nearly tumbles while trying to enter his room through the window. Luckily, he was present to rescue her. Later on, she swore at him, causing him to release his anger. Next, she presents him with an axe, warning that she will smash the door if he locks himself inside again. Following taunting her for her crazy actions in the past, Seok-ryu joins him in the water and nearly drowns, but Seung-hyo ensures her safety. While keeping her afloat, they discuss their doubts and vulnerabilities. Seung hyo states that, even after facing challenges, he managed to discover a passion and believes she can do the same. She is on the verge of falling once more, but he embraces her closely and they gaze deeply into each other’s eyes.
During a flashback scene, it is confirmed through the time capsule letters that Seung-hyo has had feelings for Seok-ryu since their high school days!
Oh my goodness! The chemistry! It’s fire! I am completely in awe how phenomenal the acting is for such a simple plot. What do you think? Are you already intrigued by this series as I am?
