When Taishin wakes up, Takara asks if he is sincere about his feelings. Taishin is shocked because he thought he had been dreaming. He tries to deny it but eventually admits that he likes Takara. Takara makes Taishin ask to date him and when he does so, he pushes him onto the bed and kisses him. Then he tells Taishin he would date him. Taishin is shocked for words and asks if Takara likes him but he doesn’t admit that. Instead, he says he felt desperate when he noticed Taishin was backing away from him after discovering his feelings.
They go out to eat and Taishin orders the same spicy dish as Takara. Takara laughs seeing Taishin try to endure the spicyness. He asks Taishin his favorite food and he replies it’s pudding. Takara asks if he himself will be able to eat pudding.
On their way back, Taishin still feels he’s dreaming that he’s dating Takara but the latter pinches his chin to prove he isn’t dreaming. As he leaves to get him drinks, Taishin sees some girls fawning over Takara and feels a little insecure. Takara then returns with pudding drink for Taishin. Unfortunately, he can’t drink it because it’s too sweet for him.
That night, the two talk over the phone and Takara shares his love for mountains making Taishin happy. After the call ends, Takara recalls a memory with his mother where she showed him off to her friends but was eyeing a ring owned by one of them even though she had so many. She wanted that one and was ready to do whatever she could to get it.
The next morning, Taishin is unable to approach Takara seeing as all his female admirers gush that they can’t be in his presence. Later, he sees Akira and Emiri enjoying each other’s company. His other friends the two suit each other. A confused Taishin asks what that means and they reply it means compatibility and not feeling alienated from the other person. However, that’s exactly how Taishin feels with Takara.
He finds Takara waiting for him after school as he wants him to accompany him to the train station. However, Taishin still feels skeptical about their relationship.
In the next episode, he finally tells this to Takara who is frustrated with his uncertainty. He explains that they can go slow until they are hundred percent into eachother. Then he asks Taishin out on a date. Taishin readily agrees, deciding to look for a dating spot for them.
Meanwhile, Takara discusses with Akira about his future as he’s skeptical of what to do with his life. After searching for date spots, Taishin decides to go bird watching with Takara. Although, he isn’t really into the activity, Takara follows through with it. However, things turn sour when Taishin suddenly looses his wallet. He and Takara spend a long time searching for it, even involving the authorities until an old woman who had picked up the wallet returns it to Taishin.
Taishin is upset that things didn’t go well and that he is unable to make Takara happy but the latter clarifies that he didn’t really come for bird watching but to enjoy what Taishin likes doing. Taishin is moved and tells him he loves his attitude. Takara gets a little shy.
When Taishin gets home, he fawns over his pictures with Takara but then recalls that he had wanted to tell him something before he interrupted. Meanwhile, Takara seems to be confused about something. He looks at a letter sent by someone asking when he will see them after his graduation
