Dare To Love Me Episode 4 Recap

Episode 4 begins with Yoon-bok waking up with a hangover, reminiscing about the previous night when he was extremely ‘rude’ to his teacher. Despite his regretful behavior, he can’t help but smile as he remembers the sight of her running towards him.

Hong-do excitedly prepares for their date, but to her disappointment, when she arrives, Yoon bok has completely forgotten about their plans. Efficiently preparing themselves, they set off on an adventure-filled day that begins with some fun in a games room, followed by relaxing in the sauna and enjoying a hearty lunch in the mountains. As the sun starts to dip towards the horizon, they treat themselves to some delicious ice cream near the river to cap off a perfect day. Yoon Bok feels grateful for the new experiences he has with her and is pleased to exchange phone numbers. They agree to be there for each other whenever they need company.

Yoon-bok came across a photo of stolen goods that features his father’s ornament. This discovery prompts him to investigate his father’s death records, questioning whether foul play was involved in his father’s demise rather than a simple fire. He feels disheartened upon learning that the records did not provide a definitive answer due to the condition of the body. He also reaches out to the fire company for information, but unfortunately, they are unable to provide any answers.

At last, he and Yoon ah receive information about stolen items. The suspect attempts to flee but is apprehended by Yoon-bok. He then hints that Seongsan Hall might be connected to the crime. Yoon-bok requests for someone to be placed undercover in the restaurant.

Camille assigns Hong-do the task of delivering a package to Shin Soo Geun, Yoon Bok’s grandfather in Seongsan Village, despite knowing that accessing the closed-off area can be challenging.

Meanwhile, a letter arrives in Jun-ho’s mailbox, bearing news from the individual who had been supporting him since he was just a teenager. He goes to see his mother, and when Yoon-bok arrives, they have an awkward conversation about Yoon-bok giving gifts to people who are considered less important, such as Jun-ho’s mother.

Jun-ho urges his mother to seek employment beyond their small village, just as he had done, rather than remaining in a servant role. She dismisses his claims, pointing out that he has never even come face to face with the person who sponsors him. Phony whom she looks after moves about sneakily, quietly watching everything around him.

Hong-do purchases a ticket to explore Seongsan Village, with the intention of secretly infiltrating the private inner fortress. However, no matter how hard she tries with various tricks, she still can’t manage to get past the guard. Fortunately, Yoon-bok arrives just in time and speaks up in her favor.

As Yoon-bok shows her around, the women in the village are amazed to see him with a young woman who is not from their community. Lady Se-Ryeong, the woman that everyone assumes Yoon-bok will marry, is curious to find out if Hong do is considered attractive. As they chat, they speculate about whether he will be publicly acknowledging her as his special someone at the event later today.

Once Hong-do has put on suitable attire, she is all set to meet Yoon-bok’s grandfather. As Yoon-bok watches, he is captivated by the way Hong do suddenly changes before his eyes, her face lighting up with a sparkle of delight. Even Hong do is surprised by her own appearance.

As soon as Grandfather receives the gift, it is clear that he recognizes Camille. He extends an invitation to Hong-do to stay for the event and deliver a speech afterwards.

Grandfather quickly opens the bag as soon as they leave to prepare. He reminisces about a trip to Paris, where he encountered a younger Camille and they are both engaging in playful banter and flirtation. After their breakup, he had given her a small keepsake as a way for her to reach out to him if she ever needed to – the same item that was now sitting in the bag in front of her.

Yoon-bok sets off on his own to wander around and prepare for the upcoming memorial event, leaving Hong-do behind. She joins the group of women who are busy making preparations, and Se-Ryeong inquires about her relationship with Yoon-bok. She is surprised when she finds out that she is unaware that the memorial taking place is actually for Yoon-bok’s father.

Meanwhile, Yoon-ah delves into the case of a suspect named Kim Chil-bok. In between his jobs, she receives a link to Hong-hak’s web series titled the reason he wants to know her name only to find out that the series has been canceled. His feelings of sorrow completely disappears when he received a response containing her name.

As the elders leave the gathering, Se-Ryeong’s father confides in Grandfather that his daughter has secretly harbored a desire to marry Yoon-bok. While gazing at the stars, Hong-do eavesdrops on Yoon-bok chatting with Grandfather about Se-Ryeong and their future plans of getting married. Yoon-bok insists on handling it on his own.

Arriving at Seoul, Hong-do attempts to inquire if Yoon-bok has a crush on someone but struggles to find the words to ask. In front of the building, a young woman stands patiently, holding a suitcase as she waits for Yoon Bok’s arrival.
