The show starts with the narrator mentioning that not every prince is nice and charming. Unlike a regular fairy tale prince, Cha-min is more like a bad prince who shatters the mirror because it says he’s not handsome.
After Jae-rim throws her shoe at him, he believes she did it on purpose to flirt with him for money. They argue about who’s right and end up hating each other right away. Jae rim shoves Cha min down the stairs, but then rescues him to keep him quiet. She struts away all confident, but quickly realizes he’s the owner of the club once she steps into the interview room.
Of course he won’t hire her because he thinks she’s not a good person. She curses him back, wishing he gets struck by lightning. He casually strolls away with his umbrella, but his employees know he actually uses it as a shield in case someone tries to betray him.
Jae-rim and her friend Son-jung get wasted while talking about their crappy luck in life. Jae rim is complaining about the jerk she just ran into and wishing he’d get struck by lightning.
In the meantime, Cha-min hangs out with his friends, but he can’t get Jae-rim out of his head. His friends can tell he’s not really paying attention and they ask him what’s up. He tells them about Jae rim and how quirky and weird she is, but his friends think he’s starting to like her. However, Cha min denies it. But when he gets home, he keeps seeing her everywhere that night and can’t sleep all the way until the next morning.
Jae-rim is broke and doesn’t know how to pay her bills. Surprisingly, Cha-min gives her a call to let her know she got the job because he was scared she would curse him if he didn’t. Initially, she thinks he’s doing it to harm her in the future, but he reassures her that’s not gonna happen. She’s over the moon about it, while he’s turning red just thinking about working with her.
He spends a great deal of time trying to figure out the perfect outfit to impress her on her first day. He finally picks out one and wears a peculiar belt around it.
They hang out in front of the club. Jae rim is all of a sudden being nice to him, but Cha min likes people who speak their mind, so she quickly tells him his belt looks like a chastity belt that would scare off women. He’s totally appalled by this, so he quickly rips it off from his waist.
Then he brings her to meet the rest of the team and has everyone play a game to share their secret wishes. Much to everyone’s shock, she yells out Cinderella. They all get awkwardly silent, and Cha min is disgusted by her choice and thinks she’s just like others who only want rich men. However, the staff are all freaking out because the last person in her position had a total Cinderella moment and ended up marrying a super rich client and leaving the job which annoyed Cha min
Cha min confronts Jae-rim and she admits that she is just using the job to find a rich husband. He can’t stand opportunistic people and is thinking about letting her go, but she suggests he has a face-off with her to see if she can keep her job. They both go to the Han River and decide to make a bet: whoever drinks the most wins. Like always, they both think they’re gonna come out on top. Jae Rim is sure of herself considering the family she comes from. It then shows the stepsisters lugging barrels of booze to their place and joking that Jae-rim can’t handle liquor.
Right now, she’s trying to buy some time when she can’t open the alcohol bottle by challenging Cha Min to an arm wrestling match. He does as she asked, but she can hardly budge his hand. That’s when Jae rim realizes Cha-min has a missing fingernail. She mentions it, thinking maybe she caused it when she tried to arm wrestle with him. The next part shows Cha Min as a kid, falling on some smashed bottles on the road all by himself.
Jae min tells him that his nail must have really hurt. He’s surprised by how much she cares and tells her to just keep drinking. Once she starts drinking, she’s like a total vortex, sucking up everything in her path. As for Cha-min, he can barely handle two sips before losing. He’s already a little drunk but still agrees to keep her on as a staff, agreeing in writing not to let her go under any circumstances.
They start chatting, and she says she wants to find a good man to marry so she can improve her financial situation and that she’s willing to give and receive love in return, but Cha min thinks her dream is too high and believes that people who are open about their feelings are more likely to get taken advantage of. She’s bummed out for him, thinking he’s never been in love. But Cha min says he’s too busy for love or dating. He’s happy just being himself. They keep on drinking and Cha min is actually having fun. However, Jae min is feeling pretty uncomfortable because she really needs to pee and is trying to figure out how to deal with her awful boss.
She finishes off all her drinks thinking she’s done, but then she realizes it was a mistake because now she is really desperate to pee.
Cha finally figures out what’s happening and they share a really dramatic goodbye as he assures her he won’t go anywhere. She’s really embarrassed and just wants him to leave her alone, even after he offers her his umbrella. He’s about to leave but then decides to scoop her up and sprint to the closest public restroom a mile away. When he arrives, he’s extremely tired and tells her to hang in there as she struggles to make her way inside.
Coming out, she’s surprised that Cha min is still waiting for her. She’s so grateful and impressed by how he saved her, thinking back on how attractive he looked carrying her in his arms. But she awkwardly goes up to him because she’s feeling a bit embarrassed.
He thinks it’s funny how shy she is, but their moment is ruined when a flashy girl shows up out of nowhere. She walks up to them and tells them she’s Cha-min’s fiance. Jae min is surprised because she thought he never dated. (All men do is lie)
This episode is simply hilarious
