After seeing the video, Moon Yeong panics and grabs Bom away from Seong jae and his mother giving excuses that causes them to be confused. Eventually, she says she will sleep with Bom but that night, she’s uncomfortable watching Bom and Seong Jae sleeping together. The next morning, she storms into Yeon Joo’s house demanding why she sent that video. Was it to threaten her? But right in front of Moon Yeong, Yeon Joo places her phone where the video is inside her microwave and it burns up. She then tells Moon Yeong she’s the only one who has the video now. She would like to see what she would do. Moon Yeong angrily walks out while Yeon Joo tells her guard that Moon Yeong was popularly known as wolverine when she was a prosecutor. Now, she would like to see where she would sink her blade into.
Moon Yeong is called to the police station by Lieutenant Baek. When she’s in front of the building, Do Jin woo accosts her saying he will expose the truth about Seong Jae but Moon Yeong begs him not to, promising that she will help him find his daughter if he keeps the truth hidden so when they meet Lieutenant Baek, both say nothing about his whereabouts even though the evidence of Seong Jae being alive is right in front of them. This sparks Lieutenant Baek’s anger as he feels they are belittling the police. Moon Yeong picks Bom up from school. She wants to spend time with her father but Moon Yeong refuses this and instead contacts Shin-hwa asking her if Bom can sleep over at her house. Shin hwa who is still angry with her immediately speeds over to her apartment demanding to know what is going on so Moon Yeong tells her everything through text, from Seong Jae being alive to him and his mother being responsible for Hwang Tae Soo’s text so Bom would be oblivious. Shin-hwa agrees and after Bom is fast asleep, she asks if she’ll let them get away with this. But she says she will not. She’s only worried about Bom because she wants her to have a father figure in her life.
At a family gathering that night, Moon Yeong suggests to everyone that Seong jae should turn himself in since the police have discovered he’s alive. This doesn’t sit well with Mr Cha and his wife as they fear for their reputation. The situation escalates when Moon Yeong invites Do Jin woo over saying that Seong Jae shot him. Even when Do Jin woo shows his scar, they don’t believe him because there is no evidence and he’s a murderer. Having no other choice, Moon Yeong shows them the video of Seong jae and his mother killing Hwang Tae Soo. Mrs Cha pales in fear as her husband glares at her in disbelief. Thinking Do Jin woo sent the video, Seong jae gets into a fight with him but Moon Yeong stops them, saying it was Yeon Joo who sent the video. Seong Jae cries to Moon Yeong that she should have just left him alone to play dead. He leaves the house. Moon Yeong and Do Jin woo go after him.
But he escapes to Yoon Joo’s house. As soon as he sees her in the kitchen, he strangles her and would have killed her had the chairman not wheeled himself in. He leaves in frustration. However, the chairman seems to have dementia and doesn’t really understand what is happening.
Do Jin woo sits down with Moon Yeong and when she asks how he became a murderer, he tells her he was protecting Hwang Tae Soo who used to work as a delivery man from high school bullies. He challenged them so the leader decided to target Do Jin woo’s girlfriend at the time. They got into a huge fight and in the process, Do Jin woo smashed the guy’s head, killing him instantly. He was sent to prison and when he came out, Hwang Tae Soo told him his girlfriend had given birth when he was locked up. Now, he was trying to find her but he doubted his daughter would want a father like him who is a murderer. Moon Yeong thinks otherwise, telling him that even though her own father was a murderer, she still wanted him in her life.
Mr Cha is so mad at his wife who still pleads with him to support Seong jae. Seong jae stalks Yeon Joo but his mission on getting to her fails when he’s pulled over by a police officer. He then presents a fake Id as Hwang Tae Soo and is let go. Meanwhile, Do Jin woo, Moon Yeong and Shin hwa gather in the latter’s office and Do Jin woo explains that Seong jae may have already prepared himself for a long time to live as Hwang Tae so. Although Shin-hwa doesn’t trust him, the three work together to figure out what can be done to Seong jae.
That night, Moon Yeong calls Seong jae over to the family house to convince him once more to turn himself in but Seong jae is reluctant. However, he gets the shock of his life when Lieutenant Baek and a team of police officers show up to arrest him, a ploy orchestrated by Moon Yeong who had divulged the truth to Lieutenant Baek. Seong jae is so shocked and his parents who are attracted to the scene appear. Mrs Cha tries to prevent the arrest but her husband yells at her to step aside. Seong jae is taken away and his mother collapses. She is taken into the house and when Moon Yeong shows concern for her wellbeing, her father in law rebuffs her shouting that she has gotten what she wants but Moon Yeong reveals that she couldn’t bring herself to show the murder video to the police.
When Yeon Joo finds out that Moon Yeong didn’t tell the police about that video, she deems her a coward. Mr Cha calls Yeon Joo and requests her help in getting out of this situation. Moon Yeong comes to Shin Hwa’s house to pick up Bom. She gets upset when Moon Yeong tells her that she won’t be able to see her Dad for some time. The next morning, Moon Yeong meets with Seong Jae at the police station, convincing him to pay for his sins so he could be a good example to his daughter, but Seong Jae accuses her of betraying him with Do Jin woo. He tells her he gave her several chances but she misused them because of her silly sense of justice. He tells her it’s over between them and that she should get out of his sight. Moon Yeong is hurt by his harshness towards her.
Seong Jae gets questioned by Lieutenant Baek but he refuses to say anything. To their surprise, an officer enters the interrogation room telling lieutenant Baek that Seong jae’s lawyer has arrived. The staff at the law firm are badgered with questions by press and their partners. When Moon Yeong arrives, Ms Go and her assistant ask her if the rumor about Seong jae being alive is true. She’s about to respond when Lieutenant Baek suddenly calls her yelling that she had deceived him. Moon Yeong is surprised and when she asks what had happened, Lieutenant replied that Seong jae’s lawyer came with proof of Seong jae’s alibi that showed he wasn’t at the crime scene that killed Hwang Tae Soo. It was chairman Ma who was there. Seong jae thanks the lawyer and Yeon joo’s guard who stood surety for him. He says that now, he knows who is on his side. (He’s definitely referring to Moon Yeong)
Before then, Ms Go had already given Moon Yeong the address of Do Jin woo’s daughter. As she’s leaving the firm, she runs into Do Jin woo who had heard of Seong jae’s release. She tells him that Yoon Jae must have prepared everything beforehand. She then gives him the address of his daughter. Do Jin woo realizes that for Moon Yeong to find his daughter so easily, Seong jae barely tried. Moon Yeong leaves and that night, she follows Yeon Joo determined to find out why she suddenly helped Seong jae. Yeon Joo quickly realizes Moon Yeong is following her but she doesn’t mind.
Yeon Joo arrives at a house and Moon Yeong sees her go inside through a large window. She meets with Seong jae and after both stare at each other intensely, Seong jae suddenly grabs her and kisses her. The two feel each other passionately looking like they are about to have sex.
Do Jin woo recalls his last conversation with Chairman Ma where he says that Seong jae doesn’t really care about his wife and child but rather about Yeon Joo who moved in next door right after they started having an affair. He laughs crazily.
Moon Yeong is in paralyzed with shock, unable to believe her eyes as Yeon Joo subtly looks at her mockingly while kissing Seong jae. Moon Yeong stops watching them. She enters her car and shines the lights on them causing the two cheaters to realize that she already knows. Feeling bittered, Moon Yeong, smashes through the window heading straight towards them. The episode ends.
Wow! How intense. I always knew there was something going on between Seong Jae and Yeon Joo. To realize that she had gone through all this pain for a lying snake like Seong jae will cause Moon Yeong indescribable sorrow. Do Jin woo knew this but didn’t tell Moon Yeong. Anyway, in his defense, I doubt she would have believed him. All in all, this was a roller coaster of an episode. Definitely, the coming episodes will show Moon Yeong taking out her revenge on those two. The wolverine Yeon Joo had so wanted to see so badly would soon reveal itself now that she has nothing to protect except for her daughter. Also, I’m curious to know what Yeon joo’s relation with Geumshin chairman really is?
