Episode 16 starts with Woo-jae calling Tae-heon to come to the award ceremony. While accepting the award, Woo-jae confesses to killing Na-ri. A flashback shows Pan-ho starting to bury Na-ri when Woo-jae arrives. He begs his father not to do this. In the present, Woo-jae tells everyone what his father did. Angrily, Pan-ho leaves the event. Tae-heon officially arrests Woo-jae.
During questioning, Tae-heon says Pan-ho will likely plead insanity to make Woo-jae’s statement useless. But Woo-jae has the piece of broken headlight with Na-ri’s blood that he stole from his father two days ago.
At home, Pan-ho calls Mo Hyung-taek saying they have trouble because the glass is gone. Jung-won arrives and tells Pan-ho she will make sure he crumbles for killing her father.
Later, Tae-heon and Jung-won meet. She gives the footage of Woo-jae’s crime. Tae-heon takes her to see Woo-jae. He tells her to air the video and report on Pan-ho killing her father. Woo-jae gave Tae-heon an audio recording of his father. Since Pan-ho manipulated media, they encourage Jung-won to break the news.
Jung-won visits In-han and shows him what she has. Her co-workers seem worried but she wants to proceed. They release a short video asking for a special broadcast that gets a big response. Pan-ho has the CEO’s number but Jung-won gets approval.
The special Nothing Uncovered episode begins. Pan-ho can’t reach the CEO. As Jung-won reveals details, Woo-jae goes to prison.
Later, Pan-ho goes for police questioning. Elsewhere, reporter No Ji-ho questions Mo Hyung-taek. Mo brushes him off and enters his office to see a report that an old employee confessed and accused him of manipulating records.
Jung-won visits imprisoned Woo-jae and updates him. He tells her to submit divorce papers and live freely. But she says he’ll always be her child’s father.
Afterward, Jung-won calls Tae-heon to meet. They sit by a fire and she says she likes him but can finally end things well. She is leaving Seoul. Upset, Tae-heon asks her to stay but she promises to be happy raising her child. No matter what, Tae-heon vows to keep loving and wait for her.
Three years later, Jung-won and her cameraman barge into a CEO’s office, accusing embezzlement. She rushes to pick up daughter Mi-so from childcare.
Meanwhile, the court finds Pan-ho not guilty of murders. Reporter No calls Jung-won with the news, mentioning Mo Hyung-taek was arrested for the truck incident.
In prison, Woo-jae writes to his father to confess. It seems he’s written many letters. Jung-won and Mi-so visit and Woo-jae is happy to see his daughter.
Leaving, In-han calls Jung-won. They meet and he says he got promoted and wants her show back. She’ll think about returning to Seoul. Later, outside the police station, Jung-won reads Tae-heon’s unanswered messages for three years, the last saying he was at their camping site.
Later, researching a stabbing spree, Jung-won realizes injured Tae-heon could be hurt. She rushes to the hospital and finds him on crutches but ok. He says reports were wrong. Tae-heon comforts Jung-won and they walk arm in arm. He says things will go well between them, ending the series.
I don’t know. The series was good, not great and things just kept dragging until the final episode. It would have fared better if the episodes were kept shorter. Plus, I wasn’t feeling the synergy of the leads which to me is very important and can save an other wise crappy plot. What I liked is that it’s quite realistic. Not every bad guy gets punished like Pan ho. So overall, my ratings for this series would be 5.5/10
