Nothing Uncovered Episode 6 Recap

Episode 6 starts with Tae-heon visiting Mueon. He discovers that Jung-won is also heading in that direction, so he decides to follow her. This leads to Jung-won attacking him in the scene. She believes that he is following her and tells him not to continue doing it.

Afterwards, she finds out about Kim Min-chul from her coworker. The following day, she goes to Mueon High School while Tae-heon pays a visit to Jin Myung-sook’s former husband Jin-soo’s family. At school, Jung-won pretends to be creating a surprise video for her husband. The assistant principal informs her that Woo-jae was well-liked, but he is unsure if he was friends with Yoo Yoon-young. Jung-won finds out that Woo-jae hastily went to the US and that Min-chul was causing problems.

In another place, Min-chul uploads a post online claiming to be the father of Eun-sae’s baby. The vice principal then remembers that Min-chul had threatened to harm himself when his crush, Na-ri, did not reciprocate his feelings. Woo-jae rescued Na-ri. Jung-won has confirmed that she is the third girl in the photo with Woo-jae and Yoon-young. However, in 2009, there was a fire at the Bongto plant that resulted in the death of Na-ri. A memorial in the form of a tree was commissioned for her  by none other than Seol Pan-ho, who is the father of Woo-jae.

Upon returning home, Woo-jae finds out about Jung-won’s necklace seen at the crime scene with the help of a private investigator. He also orders the man to investigate Tae-heon. In the meantime, the detective is talking to Jin-soo’s sister. The sister mentioned that Assembly man Mo called her once and claimed that Jin-soo was not guilty for causing the fire. Jin-soo’s sister sought help from him. He agreed but then changed his mind. Tae-heon went to see the vice principal, while Jung-won went to visit Jin-soo’s sister but they actually monitor what each other are doing closely. Tae-heon figures out the connection between them and Yoo Yoon-young. The two finally meet, and Tae-heon asks her about Yoon-young. He also mentioned that he does not trust her and accuses her of being at the scene of Eun-sae’s  murder. Jung-won declines to give a clear answer and then leaves.

Three years ago, there is a scene where Jung-won is seen arriving at Tae heon’s partner Cha Jin-woo’s funeral, but Tae-heon intervenes and pulls her away. He hopes she will reassure him that her intentions in approaching him were not solely to spy on Jin-woo. However, the fact that he is asking shows Jung-won how little he trusted her in the first place.

Now, they find themselves eating at the same place. They talk briefly. On their way back, it begins to rain and Tae-heon grabs Jung-won to take cover with them, despite the tension between them. Tae-heon then acknowledges that it is difficult to see Jung-won struggling like this.

He is drunk, so Jung-won assists him back to his room. He asks Jung-won for help admitting that he knows she’s really innocent but all of these he can say because he’s intoxicated. Just the, Jung won receives a phone call from Woo-jae, who coincidentally hears Tae-heon’s voice in the background. He simply asks her what time she will be getting home the following day before ending the call.

Later, Woo-jae is drinking wine by himself at home when he is unexpectedly visited by Yoon-young. When he asks her to go, she replies that she has a picture of Jung-won’s blood-stained sleeve. She even jokes about killing Eun-sae and then threatened Jung-won, which makes Woo-jae defend his wife. She surprises him by giving him a bottle of propofol. Woo-jae appears to be happy with it, but then he abruptly hurls it against a wall, giving a weird smile as he did so.

In the morning, Jung-won insists on driving Tae-heon and cooperating with him in their investigations. While dining at a restaurant, Jung-won fills him in on everything about Yoon-young and Na-ri. They understand that the fire at the Bongto plant is a common factor or link between them. Afterwards, they go see the detective who is leading the investigation of the plant fire. Images from the crime scene show a damaged watch. They examine the watch closely and discover that it also does not have a battery, just like the other two murder cases. The detective stated that the watch belonged to Lee Na-ri. Later on, Tae-heon explains to Jung-won the significance of the stopped clocks. This means that the same person was responsible for all the incidents.

While driving home, Tae-heon notices that someone is following them. He attempts to find out who the driver is, but the car escapes. We do get to see the driver, who happens to be Assembly man Mo’s assistant Song. He then finds out what Tae heon and Jung won were investigating from the police chief.

At home, Woo-jae spends his time watching old videos from his honeymoon with Jung-won. Jung-won arrives and he asks her when she went, but she doesn’t reply. He confronts her about it and they have a disagreement. Jung-won yells that she is  is annoyed by everything Woo-jae does, but he desperately promises not to give up on their relationship.

Myung-soo, Tae heon’s partner, phoned Tae-heon to inform him that housekeeper Jin used to  send money to the victims of the plant fire on a monthly basis. She also had a man who assisted her in this task. Woo-jae is informed by his private investigator that Tae-heon was in Mueon for two days. He realizes the voice he heard on the phone as his.

When Tae-heon got to the police station, he discovered that he was being looked into for bribing someone. A scene from the past shows Tae-heon visiting Jung-won’s father’s grave with her. At this moment, they are together and Tae-heon delivers a sincere speech to her father. That’s when she receives a text message containing significant news. In the meantime, Assembly man Mo talks to Jung-won’s boss and appears to be issuing a threat.
