Then he lets out his true painful emotions to the shock of the staff who try to cut him off. He tells the viewers that Soo hyun was just a mother who lost her child. They had set her child’s murderer free of his crimes. Whereas she was incarcerated. Is there anyone who can really judge her?

Memories of Gunwoo hits her like a storm and she goes blank not caring that the needle from the machine was piercing her skin. It’s another prisoner who notices and raises an alarm. Immediately, an elderly woman who is her roommate and a group of police women immediately grab her. The room is in an uproar as Soo hyun collapses. She is rushed to an ambulance and a particular young man stares after her.

Suho then asks Kim Joon why he called for him. Kim Joon lets him know that he’s aware he bribed a waiter to find evidence on him. Suho then reveals he discovered he and Suwoo were close and had been drinking together on the day of the accident. Kim Joon then mockingly asks him if he can provide proof of that. Suho skilfully replies that he wonders how he would be able to explain the fact that everyone who worked on that case, Suwoo himself was a DUI who could manipulate records, the attorney, the judge all had connections with him. Kim Joon laughs that he should write articles instead of novels.
Then Suho says that he, a member of the national assembly, worked so hard to get a mere CEO of a construction company out of trouble probably because of the byeonyundung issue he tried to expose years ago. He had made the CEO his right hand man because he helped him launder money for his presidential election. Kim Joon asks Suho if he isn’t afraid but Suho replies that he has already lost everything. It’s him who should be afraid since he had so much to lose. He promises to expose him in retaliation for his late son and his wife but then Kim Joon shows him a video of that day his son got into an accident. The gate was really close meaning he had been watching him. He then threatens to hurt Soo hyun if he doesn’t keep quiet.

Suho is heartbroken and doesn’t believe she means what she said but Soo hyun insists. She turns to leave but Suho yells that he may never return once he becomes a correspondent. He cries that she should hold on to him but Soo hyun leaves regardless causing Suho great distress.

But she’s telling her because she wouldn’t want her to go through the same pain of saying farewell without preparation.
She hands Soo Hyun her book and when she opens it, she sees scraps of news reports about arson. Hyeong ja then tells Soo hyun her story. She had learned her husband was having an affair so just like Soo hyun had wanted to take revenge so she set the house on fire without them knowing but she had no idea that the fire would spread so much and an innocent family ended up dying because of her. But there was only one boy who survived and she had prayed for years that the boy would survive and be protected. She wrote letters in her diary for him but out of guilt, couldn’t bear to meet him herself. She then asks Soo hyun for a favor, to deliver her letters to the boy when she gets out.
